I like to make my own compost teas to feed my garden and I have some 55 gallon barrels that I installed these in. I used to have brass fittings but they didn't handle being exposed to the organic acids and various other corrosive elements of the mixture. These are basically impervious to all of that. The valves are also pretty heavy duty and seems like they can handle being used and abused. A nice deal for a two pack, too.

Definitely wouldn’t buy these again. They’re trash they leak. I’ve been doing plumbing and all kinds of different stuff all my life and I bought these cause they were inexpensive to make some water changing stations for my saltwater tank and the O-ring that’s in there to seal the valve to the bulkhead sucks the quality of the metal sucks just all around is no good.

Very nice pair of bulkhead fittings for my needs.I found myself in a situation where I needed to direct some overflow water to a drain in my basement. The water was coming in from across the room from the drain, so I engineered a basin with one of these fittings and a garden hose. Worked perfectly.Installation was easy, I just marked the size of the bulkhead thread with a sharpie, drilled out the hole and inserted the spigot. There are a set of O-rings that seal the connection nicely. I didn't even have to go past hand tightening to get them to seal (just make sure the hole is deburred and clean before installing). Haven't had a leak after using it pretty heavily for a few days. The construction is plastic, so I'm not sure how well it would hold up in the long run. My situation is to leave it open indefinitely, and only shut it off if required. The valve seems to move quite easily from on and off, so I'm confident it would work well in either position. I did test the "off" position to check for leaks, but didn't find any, so I opened it up and it's been great so far. You can also close/open it to control flow if needed.I ran a 25' drain hose that I use to purge my hot water heater and there were no problems with the connection and no leaks.Due to the construction being entirely plastic, it's great for a short term (aka disposable) solution. I would imagine that over time, if used constantly, it wouldn't hold up as well as a metal valve, but for light duty use, it's very nice.As always, packaging was great, delivery time was short, price was good, and the value for the money is spot on.

This set of bulkhead valve came with everything needed to install except the 25 mm hole saw for plastic. I did not use the thread sealing tape that came with the kit, I used gorilla thread tape I had on hand. Both hole saw and the gorilla tape can be found on Amazon. I install this kit on a 55 gallon plastic water tank on my pressure washing trailer. In two weeks of use I haven't had and any leaks.

Works great but don’t over tighten, the o ring /seal will deform and it may cross thread. Otherwise these work great for the price and it’s easy to drill out poly 55 gal barrels for these with a basic stepper bit.

Worked exactly as needed and was easily installed. The hardest part was cutting the holes in the rain barrels. I used pex pipe and connectors to connect multiple rain barrels and it worked out great.

I used these on my water barrels and they work as expected, easy to install.
