This kit made installing a free standing bathtub so much easier. Basically you install the parts in the floor, and then you install the parts on the drain on the bathtub. Then you just set the tub over the drain and the pipe slides down into the boot and you have a water tight bathtub installed.. The only problem that I had with this kit is that the fitting that glues to the two inch pipe I was using for my trip was extremely loose. I coat it the two inch pipe and the fitting with primer and a layer of glue then waited about 15 minutes for it to harden up. Then I put another layer of glue on both parts and push them together. I waited about 30 minutes to make sure everything had set up, and then before installing the bathtub I tried to pull the fittings back apart. Everything was perfectly tight and passed the pressure test I did for the building inspector. It made me nervous but it worked fine.
