Speaker connections are a little finicky and easily broken tabs. They look good out of the box and seem waterproof. They worked great for my 1st DIY speaker box build. It would have been nice to have a template for the cutout size. Hey, for $20 you can’t lose.

Bought these for a portable DIY power pack for my boat. They were the perfect depth for the plastic water resistant case I had laying around. They are loud, light weight and and came with all the hardware needed for the install. Don't expect Dolby Atmos Bose sound quality, but these speakers are very good for the price. I'm very happy with the final project and all my friends want to make their own now! I will certainly recommend them, Hope this this review helps.

Installed these into Bose 101 weather resistant outdoor speakers. Removed the old ones and bypassed the circuit and connected to the pyle speakers directly to the backside of the cabinet connection block. They sound fantastic compared to the old speakers. Not a ding on Bose in any way, shape, or form. These are 25 year old speaker cabinets and the build quality is worth every dollar spent. If you get a chance to get your hands on a pair Bose cabinets or 101 speakers for outside; do it. What would you expect after a quarter of century of advancements in speaker technology. For the price of these speakers as a alternate replacement part and upgrade, they work perfectly.

Nice little speaker cant complain especially for the price. If you think you will get bass out if these you are wrong, but anybody thinking that they can have any kind of low end from a 4in speaker is just fooling themselves. I would buy these again. I installed them on my motorcycle. Only thing I would change is to not have them have the speaker grill molded to the speaker itself so you could take them off. I had to trim the grill to make it fit my bike. I have an 83 goldwing and it has speaker grill already on it so ideally it would have been better for me to have the grill where it was removable. But for the price I cant complain about a little trimming to make it fit. The sound from these is ok mids and highs but you need other speakers to go along with them to round out your sound.

Update: After running these speakers for about 10 hours now, there is pronounced bass response with better mids for the speakers. Perhaps the subpar sound quality in the beginning was the speaker cone still stiff (new) from the factory. Speakers are awesome for the price!Original Review:I bought these with the mindset that the sound quality would be subpar since they are under $20. It holds true when I first tried them in a bluetooth/ammo box build I'm doing. It sounded like I saw listening through a hollow can with shallow lows and washed out highs. But for the price, these are the cheapest "marine" speakers on Amazon. They can get pretty loud with a little cone flex behind the grills. The speakers did include some basic 18 gauge wiring with female attachments on one end which was a nice surprise.

I put these into a plastic tool box that I carry to test vintage stereos before I buy them. Needed something capable of handling 100 watts in a small package. These will do that, not the best sound quality but adequate for the job. I hooked them up to my vintage Pioneer amp and cranked it to 11, the speakers took all 105 wpc without blowing, totally distorted but even my HIFI speakers distort at 8 on this amp. I have not evaluated the waterproof claim but if they are, they would be great for a boat, plenty of headroom to crank up the volume over the engine noise.

I gave these speakers 5 stars for the moment due to them being only 16.00 dollars a pair, and marine speakers. Just hooked them up this Sunday and was quite surprised at the volume and sound. I purchased them expecting low quality. They were installed in a 1978 Jeep cj7. With only a bikini top. So I didn't want to purchase high end speakers. They were installed into Select Increments Versa Pods. I will adjust my ratings if anything changes. I have multiple upgraded systems in my other vehicles. But for the price point these are good for exterior speakers. Don't expect high fidelity but good just the same. If they do last for a while I will just buy another pair. I received them in just two days.

I bought these to put on my '97 Goldwing. I had no volume out of the front speakers. I knew from reading the description and from prior reviews that I would have to make modifications to the speaker to get it to fit the speaker housings on the bike. That being said, I worked to get them in place and to make all the trim work line up. To be honest, I think I did a fine job, as you can't tell by looking that I made any modifications anywhere.1. One of the reviews mentioned that the connectors are flimsy. Yes this is true, they are flimsy, so if you do buy this speaker, it will be because you didn't read my review and take it seriously. If this is the case, just remember, the piece that holds the connector in place WILL break if you are not really careful.2. I got everything put back together and reconnected my negative power cable (safety first). Test #1 I set the key to ACC and turned on the radio. I had sound where once I had none. So far, so good. Test #2 I put on my helmet and gear, and went for a short ride.I have never been as disappointed in a purchase as I am with these. I have more volume out of the rear speakers which are the 1997 factory originals, and the paper cone on them is all but missing. As my title says, if I hadn't modified the speaker, I would return it.If you want my advise, and you are reading this review as a form of advise, do not go cheap as I did. Go and get either the factory original speakers, or go with the J&M's [...]
