The wired remote control allows you to adjust the amplifier gain easily -- no need to get the screwdriver every time you want to raise or lower the volume. Plus, it mounts to your dash for a clean, professional look.

A Pair of Waterproof Marine Speakers

This kit includes a pair of 6.5" two-way marine speakers finished a pristine marine white -- the perfect addition to your boat's decor. With 200 watts of maximum power at 4 ohms, these speakers are perfectly matched with the included amplifier.

Fine-Tune Your Audio

The switches and gain settings are located behind a watertight plug, which also lights up when the amplifier is on. Customize your audio settings and make it sound just the way you want. Make adjustments to:

  • Input Level: Set the input sensitivity of the amp. If you are connecting to a LINE level source (typically an RCA type connection) then the switch should be in the LINE (out) position. When connecting to speaker outputs, headphone, or car radio sources then set the switch to the SPEAKER position.
  • Polarity: This switch allows the user to optimize bass performance in the case that there are more than 1 set of loudspeakers producing bass in the system. Play some music with strong bass content and listen with the switch alternately in the NORMAL and REVERSE position until it can be determined which settings results in more pleasing bass response.
  • Gain Control: Adjusts the overall level of the amplifier. When using the amp without volume control, the level should be set to achieve a balance with other loudspeakers in the system. As a rule, you should keep the gain settings as low as possible while still ensuring that the system will reach its full output power.
  • Volume Control: Plug for the waterproof remote volume control. When installed, this control will power off the amp when turned all the way down
  • RCA Stereo Input: Connect external audio devices like an iPod or just about any other MP3 player.

Custom Installation

Built-in mounting brackets and included hardware allow for easy and convenient installation. Attach the amplifier to a compartment or panel with just a few screws.

Built-in Safety

This amp is equipped with power protection circuitry and soft turn on/off preventing damage to your speaker equipment.

I bought an old pontoon without a stereo and decided to purchase this and Bluetooth adapter for a fraction of the cost of a head unit. It sounds great for the money, it;s not going to win any competitions but it has enough bass and gets loud enough to hear while cruising around the lake at 13mph. It's a pretty straightforward install if you have ever wired in a head unit this will be a walk in the park. I just adding an aux switch to this so I can listen when the motor is off, it doesn't draw a lot of power so you can listen for an hour without worrying about your battery going dead. As I stated, it's not the best or the loudest, but its cheap and has been working great for the last few months on my boat.

Really nice, I bought one of these for a stereo project. Powers 2 6 inch speakers no problem. Be aware, it does not vent heat that well so it does get warm. It says "waterproof" but It isn't really. I actually purchased the PLMRKT2A kit that comes with the speakers as well, the speakers are marine proof.

Order these in and wired as directed into a cooler for my little girls softball team, sounded awesome! the girls used it at three practices then the amp or something shorted out and now it won't work keeps blowing fuses, I disconnected everything and put a new fuse in the amp as soon as I applied the power to it it blew the fuse, what a disappointment tournaments are starting and no music in the dugout for warm-ups I now have 12 disappointed little girls

I may not be the best Golfer in Canada, but my Music surely is. I had never intended to buy this for anything but the recreation of having music while I am out of the course for 3-4 hours. However, along with the sweetness of my favorite music with me, I have found that after bad shots I approach my next shot with a clean attitude, when I spoilt a putt, I smile and know that I tried my best. I was truly surprised that the greatest benefit of this Music device is in lowering my score by 5-7 shots, I am so calm during and after a game, I now enjoy my music and my golf.

Showed up on time, well package. Using this setup for a radio cooler. Once everything was installed and wired up, it worked just as advertised. However, the speakers say they're rated for 400 watts peak power, and I would be very surprised if they actually pushed out 200 peak. They do work great and project sound well though. Some of the highs seem muffled, but the bass is pretty average for 6.5" speakers. All in all, a good buy for the price. Amp turned out smaller than I thought it would be. Will fit into the palm of your hand.

I purchased these speakers to make a rolling/floating ice chest speaker system. I use it for floating down the river or on the beach. The speakers sound great for the price so here are a few things to take note of.The manual is simple and picture oriented so it helps to have an understanding of how battery/amp/speaker systems work.In my opinion some experience is required because none of the power cords or speaker wires are actually ready out of the box. In lame terms You will need to solder your speaker wire to your amp wire and your amp to a power source. - I used a 12v 8amp battery. Also note if you are not installing power switch you need to attach blue power AND red positive to the red. I saw someone complain in here it didnt work and that was their issue :) dummy...Amp - I have noticed that after running for about an hour or longer the amp gets very warm. Most amps do and I have not any issues with it yet but it does concern me it is more susceptible to burning out after extended use. Mine is still great after a month. I run it for 2-3 hours at a time floating the river.Speakers. Right out of the box I tested them and I was not that impressed with output. However these speakers(as do all) greatly benefited after being mounted in a box, or in my case a cooler. Once they were mounted the audio was clear and sounded excellent. They get plenty loud for me. On my iPod with the volume at half it's great for floating with people talking. When we party and dance I go up to about 75-80% and they sound great. Bass it's decent tho it has trouble with low tones. What do you expect for 80 bucks. Anything above 90% of my volume in mum iPod they sound slightly distorted and the bass is more of a blap then bump.Volume/gain control knob... Don't use it.. It is not volume control, it is strictly gain. I adjusted mine on the amp to max allowing full throughput and I control volume from my iPod or phone and it gets plenty loud and sounds great. Anything lower then max on the gain control sounds fuzzy. It's handy if you want to go from music on to volume off. But it only controls silence to whatever your iPod is at, nothing in between.I have had a great experience with this system. I mounted my speakers on the outside of the cooler then water proofed them from te outside with window caulking. I then melted plexiglass to the inside around all the speaker/amp/battery so it is still accessible from te top. I insulated the wall between electronics and rest of cooler and waterproofed that as well. I now have room for a bag of ice, about a case and a half of beer and about 15-20 hours of music.I might throw up a video of it on you tube and include the link. See if I get ambition. Anyway, great Buy if you know how to properly mount and box for best audio sound great. Bass not over powerful but enough to feel it. Hope this helped!!!

Edit: I did an instructable on this because I was getting so many inquiries about it. I have a parts list on it if you are interested...http://www.instructables.com/id/Ammo-Box-Waterproof-Radio/In my quest to find some speakers that were waterproof/resistant i found that there isn't much out there. There are some small ones that might be fine for a pool or whatever but nothing that i thought would work for floating down the river or sitting at the beach and being able to hear over ambient noise. Finally i gave up and started devising a way to build my own. This little system is EXACTLY what i was looking for. I started looking around for head units that i could pair with a set of speakers but with phones these days there is no reason to even have a head unit anymore, this was perfect. You can see the little system that i built in the pictures. I just got a waterproof box, put all the components in with this battery: and hooked it all up and VOILA... the perfect little river radio. I've played it for 2 hours straight and then several times for 20-30 minutes at a time and it still hasn't run down yet so i'm not sure how long it will last all at once. I'll update this after i get to use it for a full day.I was really impressed with the sound that this produces. It's just as loud as the bose system i have but i don't mind carrying this on the river with me or to the beach and let it get sandy. I would recommend this system to someone that is thinking about making a ice chest radio or something like i have. I can't really comment on any other application.I got the used unit from amazon warehouse and it works perfect.
