I like this PYY Commercial Waffle Maker. While it's smaller than it seems in the online pictures, I'm actually happy that it's smaller because the commercial ones I used to use at an ice cream store would have been really huge for normal portions. The wood is smooth and the roller mold is well made. I do wonder how well the wood will hold up long term. It worked very well even the first time I used it. I do have experience making waffle cones, so it will probably take a few times of trial and error before most people get it right. I suggest watching some online videos so see the easiest way to make them work for your. I recommend this product.

Got this as my wife really enjoys baking and trying to make things at home that can be hard to find gluten-free versions of at the store. It's a little smaller than I expected but that makes it the perfect size for the mini waffle and pizzelle makers that she owns. It is lightweight but feels solidly made, and the handle is comfortable to grip. After watching some videos on YouTube about shaping cones, we got the hang of it after a couple tries. It's pretty easy to wash as long as you don't let it sit too long after or soak, since soaking can be damaging to wood products. Looking at other reviews, I'm excited to try some of the other ideas I see here, such as making tortilla cones.

Although the waffle cone iron I received from my husband for Christmas came with a plastic cone roller, I didn't find it easy to form a nicely-shaped cone with the smooth plastic because it tended to slip around. I was excited to try this one, because I thought the wood might offer a slightly rougher surface for the cone to wrap around.As it turns out, I like this one MUCH better; it definitely has better grippiness as you're wrapping the hot "cone cookie" around it. Also, it has a narrower tip at the bottom of the cone, so it's easier to shape a cone without a big hole in the bottom—an obvious advantage when it comes to ice cream vessels!I can highly recommend this as an excellent and very wallet-friendly way to shape your ice cream cones! Just remember to rinse it briefly and dry after use, since water will quickly ruin the wood.

We have a LOT of food allergies and other dietary restrictions in my family/friend group, so I got this to make ice cream cones at home that just aren't sold anywhere, and it's perfect. The size is modest, which I think is just wonderful. I was afraid it might be too big and promote unhealthy dessert portions, but this is just right in my opinion. I was reluctant to get this at first because of the wood (will it be difficult to clean/sanitize?), but it's actually nice because I can clean/dry/sanitize like any other wooden kitchen utensil, but the advantage of the wood molding over plastic/metal ones is that it helps grip the waffle for faster/easier wrapping. Very nice tool to have in my kitchen.

This is a great tool for making the perfectly coned waffle. The tool itself is very smooth and the handle is crafted with the right amount of weight to it. You just pick it up and use it as intended without any ramp up.

I am reviewing the wooden cone roller, for some reason this same article now posts a waffle maker..The cone roller is well made, wood feels alright and smooth. It has a reasonable angle for a standard cone. Easy to clean.As for the technique, there is definitely a learning curve. My first cones were not great, but I can't blame the tool. Use gloves/mittens to handle the hot dough!

This wood waffle cone maker works very well for making cones. The wood holds the hot but still soft cone well and it doesn't slip around like it would with smoother instruments. I also feel like the wood draws some of the heat out of the cone and helps it firm up quicker. This one makes a slightly smaller than usual cone, but not by much. If you need and easy to use cone shaper, this is it.
