I ordered this anxiety jacket for our Dutch shepherd, Brody. We adopted Brody from a shelter and don't know what his life was before us, but we do know he doesn't care for thunder, fireworks, or lawn equipment. We really like this anxiety jacket and notice a difference when we put it on him. He seems to immediately calm down and relax. Brody weighs 67 pounds, and we ordered this jacket in the large size but probably should have ordered him an XL. He still likes it, and although a tad small, he still moves around easily without feeling confined. The fabric is super soft and stretchy and attaches with velcro strapping. We know Brody likes this jacket because he tolerates it and doesn't try to take it off. We've experienced one good thunderstorm since receiving his jacket, and whereas Brody would normally yelp with loud noises, walk in circles, and try to find a safe place to take cover, this jacket seems to calm him down enough to lie quietly at our feet while the storm passes. It's almost as if he's being swaddled, and it makes him feel safe.I would highly recommend this jacket for anyone who has a dog that deals with anxiety. We've even used this jacket on a car ride, which is another thing that causes Brody to shake with fear and anxiety. This jacket really works!

I ordered this for our dachshund who is 13 lbs and has a 16" chest. I ordered a medium and it fits well. She doesn't seem to mind it and it feels soft and comfortable. I love the pink color. It was easy to put on her and she can't escape from it easily. It is very well made and I'm pleased with the stitching. It seems like it will hold up to normal dachshund behaviors (iykyk). I love that it can cover the ears during stressful or anxious moments, and it can also fold down when not needed. The price is also fair for the quality of the item.

Oh please can the manufacturer add a size chart?? I ordered a large for our 60lb mutt. Its way too small. I tried it on our 35lb puppy and it fits great. Definitely did nothing to calm her down, but she is a puppy.The pink color is much more vibrant in person. I love this color of pink! This vest has the softest material. And the design is really cool.

It’s fine; ear covers/hoodie are a little awkward.The XL fit my 60lb malinois/collie mix just fine.The ear covers are a little tight and awkward—may work better for some types of dogs over others. Mine wasn’t a fan.I may be a little biased on how effective this is, since mine got into some vitamins while wearing it and chewed through the bottle. This is mostly malinois life, so I don’t blame the jacket for it. My four star rating is for the fabric (more like felt/microfleece) and the weird ear cover setup.Overall, not the same tighter fitting fabric as the original, but it works in a pinch. And your dog may respond better to this texture/material than the original.

The description says this fits Golden Retrievers. I ordered the largest size and it's way too small for my Golden Retriever. The chest strap will not go around far enough to attach to the velcro. I was able to get it over her head. But the neck strap was very tight. She would not have been able to wear it very long. It's very soft and pretty stretchy. I knew she would never wear the part pulled over her ears. The rose red color is pretty. More of a bright pink. It would have been long enough for her if it would have gone around her. The chest strap around the front gives a little extra secure feeling. Anxiety shirts do work well for her. Just sorry this one did not fit.

I gave this 3 stars because the quality of it, is great! The velcro is super strong, and it is soft and comfortable feeling. However. I have a great dane mix - and while she might be a little overweight, she is an XL. So I ordered an XL and the size of the item I received - is not XL - It is more like medium. My dog was super excited and I was too! Bc she needs a thunder buddy 100% - I am going to try to get some Velcro to salvage it for her though, so hopefully I can fix it up so it fits her better. I think If I can extend the reach around her back, it will be ok for her but as is is is insanely tight - and that is absolutely stretching it and forcing it to connect - now I will say, while it DID indeed stretch without breaking or stretching it out so it was warped, and the Velcro kept it fastened - but it would not have been comfy for her - it was freakin TIGHT TIGHT. I like that the hood can be pulled down, and does not HAVE to be used, it stays comfortably out of the way too, it has a small velcro strap on it too, to fasten it around the head, but that was also tight - I think I can extend it too though. I overall, would say if you have a genuinely medium dog, order an XL and it will work, like on a Lab, or Rot, or shepherd any large breed - these will not work - You have a pit, or a terrier of some sort you will be good to go as long as they aren't like beastly. Now if XXL is an option - that might work out ok, this one would need about 5 or so more inches of material to fit on her ( She is about 2.5 foot on all fours, and weighs around 155 or so lbs.

It took me a minute to find the sizing chart and I wasn't sure which way to go between XS and S. I went with XS (I figured it needed to be snug) and it is really just about too small. I was afraid the S would be too big but should have gotten that one instead. The velcro straps are adjustable enough that the bigger size would have been fine. The chest part fits but the head part was really snug for her. All in all, when the thunder was rolling, she wasn't panting as much. I do think it made a noticeable difference and I recommend it.

For the price this is a good anxiety vest. It was easy to put on and take off, adjusting it is also quite easy. I didn't notice any issues with the stitching but the fleece does feel a little thin. Our dog typically gets nervous with thunderstorms and when we had one recently I put this on and even though she still didn't like it she was not as anxious. She wasn't shaking and panting while the thunder happened. Overall it's hard to beat getting an anxiety vest for your dog at this price.
