this device has potential, but it will need some revisions. the 2 push-pins that attach both halves must be pushed in all the way. the problem is that it's very tight and when removing it, the bird is not happy. they need a different idea. also, when loosely placing the pins, she struggled with balance before eventually removing it. this was not the case with alternative devices.

OK, so I'm going to start by saying that I currently don't own a parrot. The one I had for 20 years got eaten by a giant snake in his outdoor flight pen 6 years ago and I've chosen not to replace him.But if I did still have him, and needed this collar for a bird plucking solution, I would definitely choose this because it is excellently sturdy and looks to be just what the Dr ordered.I had a different use for it. I've been searching for a clear collar or something to use to put around the neck of a silver alien backpack that I was gifted. The giant head of the alien drooped forward and it just didn't work as planned. So then I ran across this bird collar and thought it might work. I ordered the large and it is absolutely perfect. It fits the neck and holds the head upright and stops the flops. It is made of thick, clear plastic material that snaps together but needs to have the little white pins inserted on each side to hold it snug.It comes with 3 little white pins, you'll need 2 and I guess one for an extra. Very easy to install.I would definitely purchase more of these if I have need in the future. Great purchase for the price.
