I used for my pool light cable. I used marine epoxy on the stopper first because it felt a little to loose.

Did not stop leak, dye indicated that the leak was around the stopper once installed. I removed stopper and applied epoxy and it worked.

The product image and product description is inaccurate. There is no slit for retrofit use. The product description says "The cord stopper is used on cord to stop leaking around the light niche. This is a retrofit cord stopper for existing 120-Volt installations." However, the product is for new installations which requires the light cord to be removed from the conduit in order to install the plug.

Once all the old Epoxy crud is cleaned out of your pool light housing, make sure you lube this thing with silicone spray or plumbers silicone gel. Plain old Vaseline will work, too, and is water soluble. The object is to squeeze this thing well into the conduit, right. If you can, soak the plug in hot water for a few minutes before lubing and corking. I think you'll find no reason to be doubly sure of the seal by adding Epoxy putty. This plug will do the trick permanently...js

This did not fit my pool niche. Overpriced rubber plug.
