After using this through to the end of the season I can say that it has held up well. The stand is very light and easy to haul around. No signs of rust as I would expect but still good to confirm either way. All the hinges and bushings are still tight as well. I Would have no problem letting a neighbor borrow this so I have no problem recommending it to you.

This platform is much more comfortable than many others due to the wider base. It is still lightweight even with the added space for your feet. Easy to fold up and pack, as well as attach and use.

I just recently started saddle-hunting and needed a platform. Having looked at a friend's 12 inch platform it was just a bit too small to be able to turn around, etc., but I didn't want anything too big as that adds weight. This one works great - still small enough to be easily portable, yet large enough to stand and turn on while up in the tree. This platform is really solidly built - between the metal of the platform and strut and the quality hardware for the knob and hinge, I feel quite secure once this is up and attached to the tree. The way it folds up makes it quite easy to carry into to the woods, particularly if you have it attached to a pack or even your belt/saddle.Installation and use are quite easy as well. I replaced the straps I use on my climbing sticks with rope and cam-cleat, but decided to just use the strap that came with the platform - the loops easily fit over the knob on the platform and the buckle is very easy to install and use as well, and just as easy to release and take down. The only think I'm not a super fan of is that this comes exactly as pictured - a silver/white metal finish. I don't think this will reflect and gleam in the sun, however, everything else I take out bow hunting is either camo or black, and this sticks out a bit, so before next season this platform will get a makeover - either camo tape or some spraypaint.Overall I do recommend this platform, and am considering getting second one so that I can leave one in place where I hunt and have another to travel around with.

I would glady take this platform over the more expensive brands out there and pocket the savings. This is a nicely built platform that features a solid, one piece aluminum cast floor. You don't have to worry about questionable welding here. The platform offers plenty of foot space to manuever on either side of the tree and gives options to reposiiton footing if your getting fatigued.

This is a nice saddle platform to get you started, it's cast aluminum, so it's not incredibly light, but it isn't heavy like steel platforms out there. This comes pretty much ready to go on arrival, but it's worth throwing a coat of paint on it of your choise, it's bare aluminum silver otherwise. It comes with the straps you need to hang it up, but you may want to upgrade to a heavier strap since this is the piece that does the majority of the weight bearing all day.

As an avid hunter, I recently decided to invest in a couple of Hunting Saddle Platforms, specifically the 16"x12" and 12"x12" models. After using them for several outings, I can wholeheartedly say that these platforms are game-changers for anyone serious about deer hunting, especially in new areas.First and foremost, the construction of these platforms is impressive. Both the 16"x12" and 12"x12" models platforms are made entirely of aluminum, making them lightweight yet sturdy enough to support the weight and movement needed when hunting. The grip on the tree is reliable, as the platforms adhere excellently, providing a solid footing that instills confidence when you're up in the air.One of the standout features of these platforms is their portability. Gone are the days of lugging around bulky traditional tree stands. I utilize a Universal Backpack System to carry both my climbing sticks and platforms, which makes transportation effortless. I can fit everything I need in one backpack, making my hunting trips much more streamlined. The convenience of being able to pack all my gear efficiently cannot be overstated. The flexibility these platforms offer cannot be matched. When hunting on public grounds where tree stands are often taken or where the terrain might change, having the ability to easily relocate is invaluable. I can scout a new spot and set up with minimal effort, which has drastically improved my hunting efficiency. This freedom to adapt to different locations has made each outing feel more productive, as I can set up where the deer are most active without worrying about leaving a permanent stand behind. For both beginners and seasoned hunters, I highly recommend investing in a Saddle Platform. They provide a significant advantage in terms of mobility and ease of use, and I've found that since adopting these platforms, my reliance on traditional tree stands has significantly dwindled. Not only do I feel safer and more secure up in the trees, but I also appreciate the reduced stress of worrying about leaving a tree stand in the woods. In conclusion, if you are on the fence about trying out a Hunting Saddle Platform, do yourself a favor and give them a shot. The efficiency, convenience, and adaptability they offer will elevate your hunting experience to new heights—quite literally!
