We haven’t tested its waterproofness but the jacket is as pictured and we use it more as a light weight jacket on a cooler day over a sweater or long sleeve shirt. Lots of compliments and love the polka dot inside the sleeves. We went up a size and roll those up. Will get lots of years out of this one.

I love the color and design of this coat. The only thing I don't love is that outside feels very plasticy and I wish it was a little more pliable. Otherwise, it's a great super lightweight raincoat for warmer climates.

My child is 7yrs old, just over 4ft tall, and this fits them great! There's some room to grow and it covers the butt too. We got the 8-9yrs size. Looks just as pictured, and my child says it's really comfy. This will fold easily for compact storage, it's very lightweight.

We love this rain jacket and my daughter has received numerous compliments on it too. Material seems to keep the rain out no problem. It’s also super light-weight, which we found perfect for warmer weather. You can adjust the sleeves with pull-cords, which helps as my daughter has shorter arms. The only issue that I only just noticed is that a pocket seam is coming undone. I’m not sure if I missed it upon receipt or if it’s come undone after some light use. Either way, we still love it but I’m hoping it will last and not completely fall apart on us.

My daughter outgrew her rain jacket so I needed to get her one before the rainy weather sets in for the fall. She loved the “Cat” variation so I requested it for her.Though she is 6 she heavily favors oversized clothes, so I got the size 8-9. As expected, it’s huge on her and the sleeves are too long but she was really happy with the loose fit when she tried it on. The sleeves have an elastic drawstring so luckily we can use them to keep the sleeves at her wrists. The hood doesn’t have any drawstrings so that’s probably the one feature that will be a little awkward until she grows into it since it goes over her eyes.The print quality on the outer part of the jacket is good: the cats are clear in their details and the colors look great. The inner lining, a soft-feeling white fabric with black polka dots, is a little less aesthetically pleasing because the polka dots bleed into the white background. It’s only the inner part so I’m not too worried about it; I’m just glad the jacket is fully lined because it made it nice and comfortable for her to wear.I found some loose threads here and there but haven’t found issues with the stitching in the places those threads were located; they just needed to be pulled out. It feels well made. There is an extra bit of fabric behind the zipper to keep the rain from seeping in through the zipper, and there are two pockets at the front that should be a good size for a kid to keep their hands warm.Since I can’t be sure we’ll get a storm in a timely manner so I can see how it holds up to the rain, I checked how waterproof the fabric is by putting some water on a sleeve and leaving it cupped in the same spot for an hour. When I checked it after the hour was up, the inside of the sleeve was still dry and the water beaded right off without leaving a soaked-in wet area. Since the instructions specify hand washing, I assume this waterproofing has been achieved with a coating that would be spoiled in the washing machine.My daughter really loves her new rain jacket and can’t wait to show it off. She was comfortable in it aside from the hood being a bit too big since we got it in a larger size, and she was able to zip and unzip it without getting it caught on the lining or hitting any weird “stuck” spots. As long as you are OK with the need to hand wash this item in the event it gets dirty, I think it’s worth a buy.

Glad we tried this one out, it’s a definite keeper! I’d say it’s higher quality than big box store, lower than climbing gear brands. Colors are bright, print is clear, no issues with fading or anything after washed in strong detergent. A nice feature is the inside polka dot lining is a thin stretchy material, makes long sleeves easier to push through and good for wiggly kids. Generous length, some brands hit my kiddos arms too short but this had a bit of room leftover to cuff if we wanted.

Bought this rain jacket for my child. We had our first moderate rain today. My child was soaked after running to the car.
