Rubbish. At 60 mph the antenna folded in half the top half fley off the lower half and the pivot point broke. This antenna worked well but did not hold up to road speeds.

Antenna is sturdy and well put together. The antenna mount that comes with it is useless. I got a better one out of stainless steel from Amazon (of course). It'll be interesting to get some SWR readings from the antenna.

I use this on the TYT 98OO-D quad band repeater, it receives signal fine, haven’t tried transmitting yet, due to not having a ham license. Once I have a license, I will update review.

This antenna was a total waste of my money. Honestly, I very seldom communicate on UHF... mainly VHF and HF. Ironically, the only halfway decent SWR was obtained at UHF frequencies. In fact, I have a little ABBREE magnetic-mount UHF/VHF antenna that gives better SWRs on both VHF and UHF. (By the way, I used an antenna analyzer to get the SWR readings.)I have tried and tried to adjust this thing, with absolutely no success. I have taken it off my vehicle, and only wish I had a way to recoup my lost money AND my lost time trying to tune it.Complete piece of garbage.

Heavy antenna but shipped with a missing part. The collar with set screws for adjusting and holding in the top of the antennae. I found the parts. But could use 10 section with coil and adjustable very top piece for another same antennae.
