This meter does two things extremely well: (1) It indicates the total intensity of photosynthetically active and UVA light, and, (2) it provides the RGB composition of light between 400nm and 750nm.This is a professional instrument. The measurements are accurate and highly reproducible. I have tested it extensively with various sources of PAR and UVA.The interface is highly intuitive and easy to navigate. The controls are sensible and well thought-out. The control and measurement unit is light and yet strong and fits easily in your hand.The sensor is strongly built in aluminum, with separate apertures for PAR and UV. The cable is plenty long for most applications and it is strong yet supple enough to allow easy positioning of the sensor.It comes with a wall outlet and power cable and also a telescoping rod you can attach the sensor to for taking readings in difficult-to-reach places. It even comes with a small screwdriver to open the battery compartment, and 3 "AA" batteries.The instructions are clear and comprehensive.

This meter feels old and out of date, but it is still very useful. I need the UV A reading the most, and I find it useful for the UV-A readings. The display is an incredibly laggy, very dated LCD that blurs readings together because of the laggy speed of the LCD. YOu can still read the readings as they change, but it would be easier if the display wasn't so laggy.
