These are cheap lights! They are plastic and price for what you pay for. I hard wire mine to the ceiling and operates by a wall switch

They put the power switch halfway up on the cord. This is a hanging light which usually are plugged into the ceiling. Need a ladder to turn on and off

Very lightweight and bright. I use this as a vehicle underhood work lamp with a bungee at each end. Can't find a better value than this.

Each tube is just an LED strip inside, the same LED strips you see for other applications. Fairly bright, but it's not quite enough as the sole light for my one car garage. I suggest buying at least two and connecting them together.
