Umbrellas arrived. Well packaged . A few of the nibs had come off the spokes. Took less than 5 seconds to fix. Umbrella looks decently made , have not tested it in the rain yet, but would likely not be great in extremely windy conditions. I'm mostly using as a parasol and am excited for an excuse to use it on my next outing!

I have photosensitivity, which means that my skin can burn and turn red and itchy from limited sun exposure (I'm talking the short distance between leaving to getting into the car). After having this happen, I began looking for a parasol that would provide protection from the sun and heat. One might think that regular black umbrellas would shield you from the sun and keep you cool, but they can have the opposite effect and feel quite stifling. This parasol provides a cool, personal haven on hot, humid days.The design is amazing and fun. It's reminiscent of victorian swimming outfits and The Addams Family, which I love.I read a ton of reviews of similar looking parasols and ultimately bought this brand based on the reviews regarding quality/sturdiness. HOWEVER, I'm glad I went with this brand. I will say that the part where the leatherette handle meets the rod feels pretty fragile, they're holding up so far. I didn't think I necessarily needed 2 parasols, but I'm actually really glad: I keep one in the car and one by the front door.

Order the 2 pack by mistake, but I'm so happy I did. I have not needed to use the 2nd umbrella yet, but it's one of my favorite umbrella so I have a back up. I have used this umbrella is the rain and shine. I walked in the downtown Atlanta Georgia hot sun wuth this umbrella and it was great sun protection. I wouldn't lean on the umbrella like a cane, it is not made for that at all. I have opened and closed it many many times and it is still good too go. When i read other reviews I was a bit worried how well made they were, but if you're using it for photos or coplay get the umbrella!

Bought for an outdoor wedding in Redding CA in June, anticipated HOT weather of course, instead a thunderstorm burst upon us, the parasols became umbrellas and they worked!
