We bought this for our 45 Leopard to replace the old HRC 1002 (with no light) which quit working and was melted and sticky! This new HRC 1002 L has a light so we figured we might need extra wire to make the light work. When trying to figure out wiring for the socket, the instruction booklet said we should have 5 wires (brown, blue, black, purple & turquoise) The wire that was sent with the socket had 7 wires!(brown, black,dark blue, light blue, white, pink & purple) Luckily, we have a ohm meter and figured out that the brown, dark blue & black were for the ground & up/down buttons. The purple was for positive, Light blue for negative, for torch supply. The white turned out not to be a wire at all, just string inside! Glad I didn't try to install this without my husband!! We got installed and works great!
