Solid platform once assembled. Quick release clamp is the way to go, I have one that you have to screw two allen bolts down and it's a huge pain. The holes in the top plate are off a tiny bit, it results in the sharp, shiny, silver edge of the extruded aluminum being excluded a tiny amount.

Finally was able to find a mount for a T16000M, for some reason these are left out a lot, or they have the same mounting holes as others and I just didn't know about it. Took a bit of time to adjust it perfectly, but it works great. Unit is very heavy and sturdy, definitely will not flex. The quick release takes a while to adjust to your desk thickness, but once you get it right, it works great to stow quickly. The main rail is a little sharp, but once it's put together the sharp edges are all covered.Overall this greatly enhances immersion flying around in space since this is a completely sturdy mount for the stick. I cannot believe how much better it is using a flight stick with this mount.

I installed the clamp plate and the joystick base plate backwards and wondered why the unit was so bendy. Whoops. I put it back together the correct way and this is now perfect. My stick is NOT compatible with this, but I got this anyway. I have a 3d printer and printed an adapter plate. The only desk mounts compatible with mine cost three times as much. The amount of plastic and electricity I used for the print was $1.20. I feel like I won here. This one brings the stick reasonably low so I now play center stick instead of side stick. My other mount that was slightly too high is now for my throttle. This kind of configuration makes a huge difference when LARPing in DCS and WT Sim (don't laugh... too hard).

Even though this is designed for a Thrustmaster Joystick, I picked it up to use with my Saitek. I plan on getting a HOTA setup soon, but for now it will suffice. Assembly was a breeze. It took all of 10 minutes to put it together and have it mounted. If you have ever assembled anything with 2040 extrusion of any kind it will be no issue for you at all.Now let me start by saying there are a thousand variations of this type of desk edge mount out there. most are basic and flimsy to say the least. This one does raise the bar a bit for everyone else to follow. The first thing that stands out is the levered handle clamping mechanism. I have been using this style of clamp for years on machining fixtures, and they are just strong as heck. No more twisting a thousand times to clamp and unclamp it from your desk. One quick movement and it releases. This is a game changer, Literally .The second part is the thickness of the metal plates and the way they are formed to add strengthening ribs to everything. Once assembled this mount is solid. Not a millimeter of movement while you are using it. That's amazing. The fit and finish is very good as well. no sharp edges to get cut on. I did have one Allen head screw that was malformed and needed a little persuasion to get the included ball driver into the head. But it worked in the end.Overall this is a solid quick release mount that should last a good long time.
