Item works for what I needed it for. However, when trying to raise the bar for better adjustment, I unscrewed the screw as instructed, but top of bar would not budge… I had to purchase an impact tool to unscrew the screw, and still would not budge…

The stem has some scratches right on top, where the paint and metal underneath are damaged. Aesthetic only.Otherwise seems solid (though pretty heavy).

All I had was hex key set. I was able to get one screw loose but not the others despite pounding on them with a mallet. I will be returning it.

Quality product. Definitely an improvement over the original Schwinn Quill.

Was looking for something to raise my bars somewhat for a more comfortable ride. Really like the quality and adjustability of this neck along with a compatible set of moderate rise handlebars. The reach on the neck is a little too long for me, so I may order the shorter neck, but the quality is very good.

The stem was exactly like advertised and it only took me about 20 minutes to replace the old one with the new one. Most of the time was spent taking off the handle bars and then adjusting everything once the new stem was in place and the handle bars were installed.
