Its more for decoration than for actual use. Tongs do not line up for accurate measurements

This thing is great for remeasuring and reengineering building plans and doing big woodwork.For its size, it *is* a little flimsy. Unlike old fashioned calipers, this can't be left lying around a workroom or worksite or it will get all bent up and out of shape.
