Wow! These are great cartridges. The filtering surface is dense and evenly distributed, catching a lot more debris than any other cartridge I tried before. This means you will be forced to change cartridges more often, though. Twice as often from my early observations.The other big difference I noticed is the absence of carbon, which is replaced green-ish granules, which I believe is the zeolite mentioned in the product page. I have been monitoring the quality of water since I started using these cartridges, and so far, so good.On the other hand, the ammonia filters are very different from anything else I used before, they look like regular sponges. I can't vouch for their effectiveness and I prefer using the regular ones, just in case.

This set fits perfectly and is the right size for my fish tank. I like this set also because it comes with both of the filters needed for my tank. That way I don't have to buy each filter separately.
