I bought this to change my trans fluid on my Wrangler. It worked perfectly, I wish I used this last time. I also used this to remove old fluid from reservoirs and it worked perfect. No leaks.

Worked well for extracting small amounts for brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir; however, it doesn't have enough suction, a useful plug, or other means to keep the fluid inside the syringe once the end is extracted from the fluid, making this a messy job. Still, it worked well enough to be of value.

Even though it's identical that's fine with me! It works just as good for a better price!

This unit came with no instructions although not hard to figure out. The O.D. of the black plastic nipple is too small to keep the hard or soft tubes in place. This is especially true when trying to pump lubricants. It should be larger and shaped (bumped) like the metal fitting provided, to retain the tubing. Trying to fill the cylinder was very difficult but I had to make it work, as I already drained my transfer case, so I filled it manually and tried to keep the tube in place by holding it on. In use, oil then got past the plunger an ran out the back of the unit making a mess. I finally had to use my wife's turkey baster to complete the job. It worked much better than this product and probably cost $2. In conclusion and after a half a roll of paper towels, three pairs of rubber gloves, a ruined turkey baster and a big mess on my garage floor, I suggest that this product be improved or discontinued.

Be careful you insert the correct tube in the syringe. There is a small tube (1/4") and larger (5/16" I think). They both seem to fit snugly but only the larger one locks in the fitting. When using thick gear oil you may find it easier to remove the plunger and fill the syringe from the end. Sucking in through the tube is very slow with thick oil.

Bin sehr zufrieden

I used this device to suction Toyota ATF-WS transmission fluid out of my 2011 Toyota RAV 4 automatic transmission. This is one of the last RAV 4s to have a dipstick for checking fluid level and I used the dipstick hole as a suction port. The attached first stage pickup hose was not long enough to reach the fluid and if you attach the second included tube the attachment collar is too big to go through the dipstick hole. I purchased a length of smaller clear flexible hose of a diameter that will fit into the end of the first section tube and then taped it in place with electrical tape. I set the overall tube length by measuring the length of the dipstick itself and then set the hose up of equal length. I first tried to suction the fluid out cold but the suction developed by the device was not powerful enough. So I drove the car 10 miles to warm up the fluid and then the fluid was thin enough. I was never able to get more than about 4-5 ounces of fluid into the device at a time before suction broke down. It took 4 attempts to remove 18 oz of fluid so you wouldn't want to use this device fro removal of large amounts of fluid.

I have had a few similar syringe-style fluid extractors and they all have been pretty disappointing. When I opened this one up I was very impressed. It is sturdy, well designed and uses good quality materials. It uses a compression type fitting for the hose, similar to the connectors you would find on a RO water system, which makes attaching and removing the hose painless while providing a good seal. The plunger has two good quality o-ring seals and slides easily. Very nice.
