very thin, and I mean very thin, one small part about the size of a dime that is thick enough to hold the rest of it is thin and has holes in it or cut so that it's just not worth using, And it's to bad, I was looking forward to using it. I waiting awhile to post a review so that I had time to try it out, wish I had bought somewhere else as I have said the sponge I received is very poor.

NOTHING like the description or photo!- NOT "Highly Absorbent" in the least.- NOT between 4 and 5 inches in diameter.- NOT 3/8 inch thick.I'm sending them back right now.

I used this sponge in the ceramics class and found it very useful! It was recommended in our class supplies list but I was one of the only people who actually bought it, very happy I did.
