The hinges make a metallic click due to some pressure and bending, the shelf lid pushes the sticks way too far in, so every time you want to draw one out, you have to tilt the box and tap it, which can be messy if not careful. If the lid covered the entire shelf, rather than sliding into it, the sticks would be much easier to access. The wood is nice but the elephants on it have a very ambiguous shape and they look like blobs.

I love this incense holder. When I first received it, the lid was a little too tight of a fit, but that was easy to fix with a bit of sand paper, and sanding down the edge on one side of the lid. Keep in mind that this a hand crafted piece, so do not expect the perfection of a factory produced item. It is really wood, made by hand and it's really beautiful and an exceptional price. I feel the artist should have gotten paid more. I will always hold it as a special addition to my altar items.

This pretty little box is both cute and functional. I love that it holds incense sticks in the bottom. It displays so lovely and I love seeing the cones/sticks disperse smoke along the lid.

We have a wood stove and use wooden matches to light the fire inside. We had been using one of the paper boxes the matches come in for years and it was looking rather beat up. One day I said, “You know, we could make this match box look a whole lot better!” So then I started looking for a suitable box. I found this lovely wooden incense burner/storagebox and really love the design. We ordered the box, which has lovely carving on top and small, trunk-up brass elephants across the front. My husband had ordered a package of peel and stick strikers, which he placed on one end. The matches we had are just the tiniest bit too long, so he took a handful out to the shop and trimmed them off to fit. We both love our new match box. The craftsmanship is very nice and if you are using it to store and burn incense, it’s lovely for that as well.

Absolutely love this! The only issue I have, is in the ad, it has two holes on each side for two sticks, mine only has one! Not sure what happened, still functions perfect just wished I had the second hole for double the beautiful smells

It is very pretty and gets the job done for the most part. The first issue is that the hole for stick incense was too big. The sticks i have are too thin to be held upright. I put sticky tack around the end of the hole to hold the sticks up. (Cone insense works fine tho). Second, the quality seems to degrade over time with a lot of use. After opening/closing so many times, the wood has begun to split along the line where the hinge is inserted. Also the top of the lid is beginning to have a noticable seam where the wood panels are beginning to split apart.

This item looked very nice when I got it. Then I actually opened the box and the hinges were tight and the lid didn't open well. Finally the lid just snapped in half after using it a couple times. Very cheaply made.
