These encompass 3 things I love: cast iron with scrolls design, birds, and shabby-chic appearance. After I ordered these, I had a bit of buyer's remorse. I wasn't sure I liked them, but once they were in my hands, I absolutely love them! Definitely a keeper!

The bookends do look vintage the distressed way they are but I wanted a more antique look. So I did a gold painting technique and now, they’re the way I want them.

They’re really pretty in person, but I have 10 slim & lightweight books they’re supposed to be holding up. It holds them up well enough, but even so much as a light bump has them all falling over. With children around, these just aren’t sturdy enough for my needs. They’re gorgeous, though so I’ll find somewhere to put them well out of the reach of children.

These are beautiful and heavy!! They hold all my books! BUT they had an awful smell to them. I usually don’t mind when my Amazon purchases have a smell but these were so strong it would make my stomach turn! I had to wash them and when I did, a lot of dark water rinsed off. They still kinda smell and I can’t put my finger on what it smells like exactly but it was bad!
