a few things that you need to know about these.1st go to the site and select the correct part number.2nd make sure you read ALL the directions.3rd replace the fluid in the forks with quality oil, i went with what they selected.4th ride ride ride. then adjust and ride some more!to get them out i screwed all of the preload out, loosened the top of the fork removed it. Remove the spring and spacers then reach in with one of those long reach grabber things and pull it out. adjust as needed then reinstall properly.remember if you dont understand what i just wrote of have any doubt that you can do it then contact a mechanici am in no way responsible for your bad decisions or horrible judgement. caution improper use of this can cause death and every painful thing up to death including death. but hey you ride a motorcycle so your already keenly aware of that... or will be shortly.

Hard to say how much of a difference these made in my 05 Roadstar as I did them at the same time as I did progressive springs. But with these and the new springs and fluid, ride is much better and rebound and wheel hop is 100% better. Gave it 4 stars as the forks need disassembled to adjust, but as good as you can get with factory forks.

Dampening is 110% better with these. Easy installation. Mine required some drilling of the stock dampening rod.

For relatively little money I totally upgraded the suspension on my wife's BMW F800ST (she has the factory lowered suspension - these springs work with this option as well as standard suspension). Very happy - better yet, she is happy. I posted a summary of the whole process on this forum:http://f800riders.org/forum/showthread.php/233553-Aftermarket-fork-springs-for-factory-lowered-F800ST?p=1938146#post1938146

Great upgrade to your damping rod forks. Fits as it's supposed to. Only complaint is lack of fine tuning details, which can be found on the web. For my application, a call to Race Tech revealed that I needed to drill two additional holes in the relief plate to get a more comfortable ride, it was somewhat harsh on smooth roads, but performed well on rough roads. Now it's comfortable and controlled on all roads. Do your research before installation for best results.

Installed this along with Race-Tech straight rate springs selected for my weight and bike per Race-Tech's calculator. I couldn't be more impressed with the improvement over stock springs and damping rod. Suspension is firm and functional. Having a drill press and deburring tool makes installation a breeze, but certainly still a more advanced mod. Know what you're getting into before buying, but an amazing difference and well worth the time learning and installing.

As usual, Race Tech products are top notch equipment. The emulators, when paired with proper straight rate springs will transform a conventional shock and will make you a better, more confident rider.
