Used these to hang my motorbike helmets when they’re not in use. They’re art in their own right, so deserve to not be hidden away!I drilled holes in a couple of tennis balls and put them over the hooks to help protect the polystyrene in my helmets,Installing these were a cinch. I found a stud, lined each one up and drilled the screws into the wall. You could probably hang much heavier stuff on these, they seem well secured with the included hardware.

Hook quality is fantastic. The self anchoring screws that come with it are less impressive. If you are biting into a softer wood you should predrill or it may split the board. FYI there are two in each package.I have not tried the screws directly in a 2x4. I used a 1"x4"x6 foot pine plank sunk into studs to hold a bunch of these. The pine started splitting when I used the included screws directly.

I don't know how anyone can rate these as less than 5 stars. I bought several varieties and used them for hanging ladders, a hand cart, a furniture cart, hoses, even LMR-400 Coax (which is hard to hang). These are very stable and easy to install. Just tap the pin in the back in the wall and it holds itself in the wall until you can screw it in.One hint - use a small ball peen hammer to tap the screws straight in before you start using your power screwdriver. If you do that, even a klutz like me can get them to screw in straight.Yes, they are not inexpensive, but if you have ever had to replace things that ripped off the walls when you accidentally over-loaded them, you will know that these are fantastic.

It arrived on time, but this hook is a lot smaller than was described. The item description says "9.4 x 6.6 x 1.5 inches" but in reality the hook is only half that size. If you are looking for a bigger hook, choose another one.Their customer service is non existent. They never replied to any of my emails and insist that I cannot return the item. I am more disappointed in the seller than the purchase.

Well i didn't notice that I purhcased the large hook. I am using it to hold up a shower caddy in our bathroom. I have used several other hooks and with the weight of shampoo bottles soap, facial cleaners, etc. The hooks would always begin to bend after so many months. I will first say I know I am not using it for its intended purpose and to some it might seem weird to hang in a shower but this hook is solid. It comes perfectly packaged with two large hooks and the screws have not normal screws. They are the Tornado type screws that grip into the wall and do not flex. As always Great price!

There were no sizes on the website so it looked ideal for hanging a few computer wires up in my closet, but it's much larger than i thought, the inside of the hook forming about 3-1/2 inches diameter. The screw holes are 1/2 inch diameter, (it's still inside its plastic wrap, so i am not able to measure exactly), a good quality hook but i will be returning it for something better suited to my purposes.

I wrote the same review for the ladder hooks since I bought both:The hooks is strong and sturdy. The aluminum screws they give you are crap. The tip of one of the screws broke off halfway into the wall stud. That meant I couldn't put another screw in the same place since the broken piece plugged up the whole, plus, I couldn't get it out. So I had to hang in another, less desirable place. The problem is that there aren't other viable options that I saw. Again, the hook is good. But I recommend using your own screws.

I used this on some cruddy composite wood to hang my bikes (though against a normal wall, this wouldn't make sense for bikes--I just have a unique setup), and it's doing an admirable job. After several months of daily use, no signs of coming loose, and it seems like it could hold a good amount of extra weight if I wanted. Takes a bit of strength to install with just a screwdriver, though, but that's understandable.
