Rada knives are an excellent purchase for the price. They are very very sharp. They glide through foods and make the job easy. All of the products are quality and value.

I love these knives. We got a full set for our wedding over 10 years ago. I love that they are sharp, easy to handle and a breeze to clean. I would recommend Rada's whole line-up of kitchen knives. The only thing I don’t like about the chef knife is after awhile, the blade starts to wear down unevenly so it creates spaces where the blade doesn’t connect with the cutting board. Because of this we just replace the knife every 3-4 years. This is a great everyday kitchen knife though with a price you can’t beat. It makes a great gift without breaking the bank.

This is a great knife. I tried it on some parsnips and carrots. It works just as well or better than my Wustof. To be fair to the Wustof, it’s only had home sharpening with my whetstone and diamond sharpening steel for many years and probably desperately needs a professional sharpening. I think the Babish chef/cleaver knife outperformed it by just a smidgen, but it was close. Altogether, for a knife that costs about a fifth of the price of a Wustof, I was overjoyed. I will be purchasing a couple more of the Rada knives, such as a peeling/utility type knife as well. Most of my good knives got lost in a move, and since they were all expensive Wustof, Zwilling, and Henckels knives, I’m having to try to replace them with more cost effective options. I’m quite pleased with these so far. As they are thinner blades, I’m not sure how they’ll hold up over time, but on the comments for a YouTube video for a homesteader there were people commenting that they’d been using their RADA knives and were still pleased with them after 30 years, which is why I purchase this one.

For the money, this is probably the best knife I have used. It is very sharp, holds an edge well, and its light-weight and balance make for great flexibility. "Light-weight" does not mean light or low quality; it simply means the knife is much less heavy than high-quality (and much higher priced) knives from Wusthof, Zwilling, etc. As a result, cutting large quantities is far less fatiguing. As other reviewers have noted, the blade is thin, so this is probably not the knife to use to cut up a large pumpkin or rutabaga. However, it is fantastic with other vegetables and meats. At first, I thought the aluminum handle would result in a slippery grip. However, the grooved surface provides an extremely slip-resistant and firm grip. Highly recommended!

The most important aspect of a knife for a non professional is does it cut and does it clean properly. I can confirm sharp blade and cleans easily. They have figured out how to optimize the blade for feel and sharpness. It is a light, so if you want a heavy "manly knife" its not it. but if you want a knife that will cut meat and veggies and can be used everyday. this is a great choice. Better on Veggies than a Rib RoastI also bought a Victorinox at the same time. The Victoronix is heavier and cuts meat a little better. From a value standpoint - would be near impossible to beat the Rada. My recommendation is to buy both. Use the Rada on Veggies Fish and Boneless Chicken. Use the Victoronix on Whole Chicken, Pork and Beef

Ive been buying these for myself and others for years. I love Rada knives, amazing bang for your buck. If you would like them to stay shiny keep them out of the dishwasher as instructed. I have given up on that and all that happens is that pretty handle turns charcoal grey.
