Fits nicely in my 2016 Range Rover. Did not expect it to fit, the barrel behind my mirror is very short, but was just enough for this to grab on to. Much more secure than the suction cup mount.

Add does not say whether it works on a Chev Corvette, well it doesn't fit...the only reason for the single star is it is of no use to me now. Add says it fits most vehicles...guess my car is one of the few it does not fit, too bad. I'm sure it works great on vehicles that it does fit.

Installed this today in a Cayenne for an Excort 9800 radar unit. I also have the radar power cord wired into the mirror bracket so that it just sticks out 6" to attach to the detector; no hanging cord going to the cigarette lighter. After researching a number of competing products, I selected this product for the following reasons:- Did not appear to be a bulky unit,- Designed for the car model rearview mirror rather than a universal mount,- Appeared to have mechanical flexibility for aligning the detector at the desired position,- Price vs the competition. After installing the unit, here are my observations:PROS- A quality and well made unit. Screws all align properly, and everything tightens up correctly. Just enough bulk and rigidity in the product to hold the detector in the desired position.- Very easy to install. No tools needed other than what came with the package. Took 10 minutes start to finish.- Very compact in appearance. Almost folds up under the mirror.- Looks professionally installed when finished.- Great price for the product and functionality.- Extremely adjustable for various detector angles (if desired).CONS- Limited instructions for the mechanically challenged. Photos are fairly poor in detail.Based on my installation experience, and the final result, I will most likely purchase two more units for my other cars.UPDATE:Purchased a second unit for my BMW. The Porsche and BMW units appear to be identical (I can't determine any difference in a side-by-side view.) It installed just as easily, and the Escort mounts perfectly.

I knew about the Blendmounts but I didn't realize Mirrormounts existed until recently. The Blendmounts are almost $90 and way more than I would ever spend for a mounting system. I bought this as the mount is similar in style and I already have my Escort 9500ix powered by my rearview mirror using a small cord I bought from Ebay.Getting the clamp secured over the stem of the rearview mirror is a bit awkward as the power cord for the mirror gets in the way. Once secured you have two adjustable joints which are secured by tension nuts you can adjust with your hand. I have my Escort mounted close to the mirror to minimize the obstruction to my field of view while driving. The mount works fine and the Escort does not shake or rattle at all.The only drawbacks are the mounting location itself. The Escort does obscure a small portion of your field of view and it is easier to spot from the outside compared to my old location which was on the top of the windshield to the right of the rearview mirror. I got tired of the suction cups though as the cups would eventually come loose despite cleaning off the cups and windshield with rubbing alcohol before mounting. If both cups became loose I would find the Escort dangling by the power cord. One time when the cups came loose it stretched the power cord so much the cord no longer worked.

This is a great product and an excellent price compared to other similar products. I originally planned on trying the bike reflector mount method (google for more info), but it didn't have the finished look I wanted and didn't really fit my Camaro mirror without some additional parts. This installed easily, parts look and feel like quality parts (metal mainly) and does the job great. My only gripe is that the part connecting to my 9500ix leaves some wiggle room. When I have my bass turned up on the radio, my mirror carries the vibrations through to this and the loose fit makes it rattle which was annoying. I did find a cheap fix that works pretty well. I bought the cheap hook & loop (Velco) from Walmart and put a small strip of the softer side of the Velco on the top of the radar detector where the retaining/pressure clip touches it. I also put a few very small pieces along the bay where the mount goes inside of the detector. Makes everything nice and tight with no rattle. The only problem with this solution is that it makes it a little harder to remove. I may revisit this at some point and try a thinner material to make mounting/removal easier (i.e. thin rubber or maybe multiple layers of electrical tape).

I was growing tired of my windshield suction cup mount for my Escort Passport 9500ix falling off the windshield and general did not like the placement of the RD there. Also attaching anything like this to the windshield is illegal in California (and Minnesota), though not heavily enforced in my experience.I saw Escort's mirror mount for $90 and liked its mounting placement but felt the price was high to say the least. Did a search here on Amazon and found the for less than half the price of the Escort mount.I installed the mount in my 2003 Honda Accord last night (took less than 5 minutes) and am very pleased with the very simple and solid install. The Radar Detector can be moved around in any direction to assure a level install of the RD. Once installed the only thing I see is the RD hanging under my rear view mirror. The Ultimount is completely hidden behind the mirror, (It was smaller than I imagined it would be when I ordered it). Under the rear-view mirror seems to be the perfect location for a Radar Detector.I have ordered to tap into the power that is available inside the Map Light just above the mirror, this will make for a very clean permanent installation. The mount is all metal, comes with a extra set of longer screws that I needed to fit the mount around the mirror base on the Accord. Well designed and solid, an excellent buy! Shipment was FAST, received the mount 3 days after placing my order.
