INTERNAL SPRING RETENTION
The internal spring system provides the positive pressure needed to make this sheath secure during the heaviest tasks in the field.
POSITIVE LOCKING SYSTEM
The internal spring in the sheath provides a positive pressure and uses the tool itself to lock into the sheath. Simply press in on the tool to depress the spring and clear the locking tabs and slide up to remove from the sheath.

I'have had this sheath almost a month and, I really like it; ease of use (no fumbling with snaps or damaging garments with hook and loop or having it quit after a month or so), its stealthy appearance, its small footprint (very light, "hugs" the tool making the sheath very compact) and having the 2.25" clip allows me to have it clipped to my shorts/jeans' waist (no need for a belt!) while being stable. My only nitpicks are not being able to have it with bit kit slot (which could happen; the one for Centerdrive has it so, it could be easily adapted to the MP's design) and, it does require to have the tool parallel to the opening for it to glide with ease (but no need to reorient clips so far). Highly recommended for a sturdy, tough, durable, no nonsense working sheath.

Product works very well just make sure to take c clips off and rotate around, if not they will catch and bend or pop off. Otherwise product works way better than the factory nylon sheath the bottom can bend sometimes where the needle nose rest but you can fix that easily.

I really wanted to like this sheath. It caused my gerber multitool to come apart as the retaining clip hung up on the sheath causing the jaws to come apart. Quality is good. Idea is awesome. It just didn’t work for me as I use me multitool daily. Dozens of times. It is not something I carry to be cool, I actually use it. So the carrier has to work as good as the tool. I went to the “Taco” magazine holder as I wore out multiple Gerber velcro sheaths. I don’t write a lot of reviews, I felt compelled to write one about this sheath. Hopefully improvements will be made. As I ssid, I like the concept and the build quality is good. In active use, it failed me. I will continue to monitor updates of the product as I believe in American ingenuity and have faith they will get it right. Very close, but for an active everyday user, not close enough.

i like everything about this. seems very well made, as in last a long time, very sturdy, solid. there is a spring piece, and it seems very durable. what is critical is whether a holster fits the device it should hold, and this is really a great fit for the gerber mp600 it is made for. release is easy, but would be very hard to happen accidentally. i have some other multitools and if i switch to using one of them ill get the comparable holster from this company.

It does hold the tool effectively however quickly becomes uncomfortable if you have to roll around on the ground under heavy equipment. No where nearly as nice as good old fashioned leather. It'll probably hold my extra tool on the side of the toolbox.

Well made, looks great, happy to support made in the USA but it has some issues.First off, my mp600 constantly gets hung up and jammed while trying to insert the tool into the sheath. It catches on the spring steel tab meant to provide tension on the tool to keep it secure. Doesn't seem to matter whether I push down on the tool while inserting or not. More problematic than that is when I do get the tool inserted smoothly, it rarely locks up unless I deliberately make sure the unlocking tabs on the mp600 are aligned with the cut outs on the sheath. There is no audible click to confirm the tool is locked so I constantly have to slide to tool up and down until it locks in place, it doesn't inspire much confidence and is a hassle. I watched reviews on YouTube and it seemed to be smooth and lock up reliable so I don't know what the deal is with mine, perhaps it will improve with more use.This is more of a suggestion than a flaw but this model has a 2.25 clip and is intended to be used with a duty belt, however the placement of the clip greatly limits where it can be placed on a duty belt. The clip is attached at the very top of the sheath, this makes it so almost 3 inches of the metal sheath hang below the belt, that would be fine if you have room on your belt near either hip but on most duty belts those spots are occupied by more important equipment. This leaves you to mount it on the rear of the belt which I tried, and that left me sitting on the sheath and it digging into my seat while in a vehicle. Not particularly comfortable. This could be remedied by moving the clip lower on the sheath, leaving less of the tool below the belt. Again, not necessarily a flaw, but something to think about depending on how your belt is set up.I will probably try to modify it to better suit my needs and go from there.
