The RAILBLAZA Visibility Kit II is a must-have safety item for any kayaker, canoer or recreational paddler. In one convenient, value-for-the-money pack you get everything you need for your kayak or canoe to be seen on the water day or night. This kayak light and boat stern light is Imana approved for Marine use. Simply mount the StarPort HD with the supplied fastenings, lock in the 3-foot ExtendaPole 1000, clip on the orange fluoro flag for daytime visibility, and lock the Illuminate i360 – all-round white navigation stern light into the port on top for safety and regulatory compliance at night. The i360 kayak stern light can also be fitted to other RAILBLAZA ports around the kayak, and the ExtendaPole 1000 can be used to display a dive or national flag, or combined with RAILBLAZA camera mounts as a camera pole. The RAILBLAZA ExtendaPole 1000 offers 3 different height adjustments if needed. The visibility kit is also a great stern light for Rib Boats, Jon Boats and other watercraft as well. The i360 kayak light has 3 different modes: high beam, medium beam, and blink. It uses 3 AA batteries and offers 25 hours or more of use in the high beam mode and over 200 hours of use in blinking mode. This light has been approved by the US Coast Guard for 2 nautical miles or more. Disassembly is quick and easy and the kit will store just about anywhere.

The light could be brighter.

Packaging is terrible, and was taped up by shipping to hold it together. The flag was stained wrapped and the button for the light is tough to push. For the cost of something all plastic. I'm not impressed.

My lights on all three of my YakAttack flags died after one year. Instead of dropping $17 for a replacement filament for it to last a year, I took a chance on the Railblaza flag and I’m glad I did.First off, the light itself is well over twice as bright on low as my old YakAttack flags, and that’s just on low. I turned off the lights and it lit the floor in my living room. Part of the reason I decided to upgrade flags is it looked like this might give me a little bit of light on my kayak to help me see what I’m doing and I can say for certain that it will. The pole is very strong and will not be in any risk of flexing or even breaking in heavy winds. Like the YakAttack, it collapses into a small bag, the only difference is with the Railblaza, you have to find a place for the bag when it’s assembled - not a big deal. The one downside I can see being a problem is the switch is small and hard to hit - you have to use your thumbnail. It will be even harder to hit when on the kayak. That said, the Railblaza is the flag to get and at the same price point, it’s a much better value.

When kayaking at night in open water in the ocean, I like to be seen by fellow boaters. The light has 3 settings bright, dimm and flashing. The shaft is sturdy and comes apart into 3 sections which stow away into the kayak nicely. The light housing float but added extra pool noodle at the bottom section for more protection. No complaints yet.

Easy to install if you have track mount. Unscrews for storage and comes with included case. Its not crazy study, not that it needs to be, but just seems very overpriced for a plastic rod and cheap led light. I was hoping it would be a bit brighter so I could use it for lighting on my kayak when it gets dark but its not good enough for that. The switch is also super hard to find at night since its so small, its in a bad spot on the light in general and hard to press to turn the light on. It just feels like they cut every corner to meet basic requirements but still charge an arm and a leg.

I am really happy with my new visibility kit. I already had starports on my kayak, so setup took 2 minutes. The light I got didn't turn on, so normally I wouldn't give a 5 star review. However, I called Railblaza directly to ask them about it. The guys there are very genuine and personable. Even though I ordered through Amazon, they told me they would get it right and save me a return to Amazon. They decided to send me a replacement light and I got it the next day (we are both in Texas, so it may have been longer if I was in Wyoming.) That's worth the fifth star. Good product, easy set up, great customer service!

Works as advertised. Nautical visibility at 2 miles at night. Flag on pole makes kayak motr visible, especially helpful when passing through heavier boat traffic area, and in marshes with high Sawgrass blinded intersections. Unfortunately Gators are not deterred by flag. I mounted it on a small Pelican pioneer xr 100 kayak. The only small problem is more related to the placement of the mount, in that it slightly restricts my full range of paddling motion. But the product is great. I would buy it again when upgrading to a more feature-rich kayak.
