Easy to install. However these are low profile which I don’t like as they don’t spray as far and stream of water is more concentrated

We ordered a Rain Bird valve replacement. Boy are we glad we did. We saved over $100 doing it ourselves. The important thing is, we would do it again if we needed to.

Advertised as new and at a premium price, but parts were scratched and appeared worn.

The check valve solved my low-head drainage problem. Works great.I made the mistake of buying the Rain Bird Rotor Screwdriver/Pull-up Tool and a set of Rain Bird 5000 Nozzles separately. This product comes with both.

Are the check valves sold separately or something? I just wasted my time replacing my other sprinkler heads and dug my garden only to find out they don’t work. I have about 3ft fall from the valve to the lowest sprinkler head and it pours water all over the place after shutting off. I’ve cleaned them out several times but nothing will stop the water flowing after shutting off.

These are great. My yard has a pretty good slope so water tends to drain back to the bottom of the two zones in that area, Putting the SAM heads in stops the water from draining out of the system into lower part of the yard.

My house is on a hill, with sprinklers within the same zone at different elevations. Many of my original sprinkler heads would get low head drainage, which just wasted water. Installed about eight of these and all perform great. These models also contain a flow shut off feature at the head which is useful. You typically can't find SAM sprinkler heads in the box stores, so went through Amazon. Very satisfied.

This product was easy to install. It did take a few minutes to adjust the rotor how I wanted it, but it was well worth it. My lawn has quite a slope and I installed these at the bottom of the slope and when the watering cycle was over there was no water running out of the top of these, unlike the Rainbird Maxipaw sprinkler heads that were there before.
