This works well but in the dim lighting of a tent, I almost peed my pants trying to get this on! At one point, I think that my head was sticking out of an arm hole! Once you get it on it's fine, just as you would expect. If you do buy this for camping... do NOT wait to the last minute to get up to pee!

A poncho like this is close to essential to keep in the car or to carry to your day downtown. Lightweight, generously sized, comfortable enough when you realize it's keeping you dry. And the price is right.

I do not care for umbrellas. it is one more thing I have to hold on to during teh rain. I prefer rain jackets or keeping these in my car for emergencies when rain pops up unexpectedly. They came individually packaged and are large enough to accommodate at least thru a 2x and possibly a 3x. They are not thick like a rain jacket but not thin like a garbage bag, they fall someplace in between. I think one could get several uses out of them, therefore the cost is justified if you don't need a rain jacket often.

We got these for our trip to the theme parks thinking it would rain. It didn't rain but we used these for the water rides and got off the rides dry. They are good thick quality.

Used this several times while working outdoors in heavy Florida rain. The rain jacket is long enough and opens wide enough to provide decent coverage to the legs and arms. The hood is a great addition with the drawstrings. Overall a great purchase.

We ordered these rain ponchos to use on amusement park rides that we usually get wet on. We haven't gone anywhere yet, but as it happens they arrived on a very rainy day so I was able to test them out...These are pretty good ponchos, but there are some things I would like to share in this review so other buyers can make an informed purchase...The material on this poncho is thicker than the disposable ponchos I usually buy, but if stretched hard enough it would tear. I wouldn't call them "Extra Thick" as the description states. That being said, you would have to really stretch the material hard in order to get it to tear.It is easy to put on and take off. There are two snaps on each side for easy removal. This is a good, and a not so good thing, because the sides in between the distance of the two snaps are not sealed. This could be an issue for allowing water to seep in. I didn't have it on long enough to find out because it was too cold outside. The sleeves go down about 3/4 of an arms length. I have to remind myself that this is a poncho and not a raincoat which is why its designed that way. I like that this has a drawstring hood. It works well. The string doesn't pull through the vinyl when tightening it and makes it fit well. The poncho kept most of me dry while out in the rain and it folds up nicely to put in my backpack.

I have used ponchos like these before, and like these very much.I have, ahem, the biggest hat size of anyone I know, and I can throw these on just fine. They are roomy, and give plenty of air circulation so you won't get overheated and damp just from using them. If it's windy, it is possible in theory that some moisture could get in on the sides but that's a small price to pay for the snaps that make putting this on so easy.I like the material which doesn't cling or feel gross because of clinging. I tend to use these to throw over myself if I'm on travel and I want something to throw over myself and my (small) backpack in a sudden storm. It's not elegant looking to do that, but it does the job. Combined with rain pants, I've had some of the most wonderful experiences of my life walking in the rain. Ponchos keep rain off backpacks better than backpack covers which usually still allow rain to drip down your back between your raincoat and the backpack.I say it's not elegant looking, but the nice thing about the white/clear-ish color of these is that you can see what people are doing, throwing a poncho over yourself and your backpack. My only quibble is that I'm just not a fan of drawstrings. These drawstrings very thin and I can see them being a little fiddly to secure. That said, I'm unlikely to use them at all so I can't quibble. I will usually use a poncho in concert with some kind of hat with a bill so I keep rain off my face, too.The poncho material seems good quality for an emergency poncho. It's not going to be enough for a utility worker fixing a road in a rainshower. But it's perfect for having in the car for emergencies, or for keeping in a backpack for travel to turn the threat of rain into a non-issue. These are nice.
