Had these shocks for 2-3 years now have had no problems, giving me a good ride height and street ride don’t off-road much but I am happy with the product overall

The shocks were easy to install but they did not level my 2010 F150.

1 star rating for Amazon fulfillment, not the product itself. ** 2nd Rancho RS999912 purchased through Amazon. 2nd one that was an open box, and not a Rancho RS999912 in the box received. First one I kept and attempted to reclock the shock in the assembly using a strut compressor. Installed it but it has a massive rattle in it now. Could be faulty shock, could be something I did wrong reassembling it (only compressed spring, spun shock 180 degrees and installed). Will be returning the 2nd one. Can't return the first one when I receive a real RS999912 from another source but it won't keep me from trying. The left side strut i ordered at the same time (F150 2wd) installed perfectly and is functioning wonderfully. Love the strut performance. Hate the defective one I have installed on the right side. Have a new one coming from RockAuto, which is also now $40 cheaper than the ones listed on Amazon.

I can really tell the difference in the ride and handling with this shock. I have a Ford F-150, and I put a full size bumper with brush guard on it for extra protection. But the front bumper and guard, weigh 225 lbs, as compared to the 85 lb OEM bumper. So, the truck would plow to the left or right, during normal street turning, or during hard emergency braking. So, I had the Rancho RS99912 installed, and not only did it fix the problem. But it was strong enough to lift my truck an additional one inch higher, than before any modifications to the truck. The ride is tuned in, and the truck still rides like a car on the inside. (Not bone jarring.)Just make sure you buy separate model numbers for "Left and Right" shocks. The other model you will need, is RS999936. (Front Left)

Great quality. I spray painted mine red (after taping it up of course) Rides like a new truck again.I Highly recommend buying new upper control arms along with this ($60/pc). Together, these two products make a huge difference. Also, I bought these for the rear:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014YG86G/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_12Their reviews say its stiffer, but when I hit bumps in the rear i can barely feel them!
