I bought 2 of these to install on the rear of a 2013 jeep jk, stock height. I haven’t tested them out yet but have a full set of the RS5000x I installed on my other Jeep TJ which I like so I figure they will work fine on the JK. The only issue I have was I was expecting the poorly white painted with red dust boot that were in the picture description like always. I just received and installed a set of the front shocks (white and red) day before on the JK. These rear RS5000x shocks I received seem to be much improved, welds are better, white paint quality is better and……black boots!! I love the new black and white look but now need to remove front red boot shocks and replace with black to match. Ugh.

Purchased these struts for our 2009 jeep wrangler unlimited. Rancho are generally a good name brand. We don't go off road, only highway driving. Purchased in July 2023, by July 2024 they needed to be replaced. Would not buy again.

I replaced all four shocks and the steering stabilizer with the RS5000 series shocks on a 2018 Wrangler JK Unlimited Sport that was at 100,000 miles. (Front leveling kit, no lift on rear, stock wheels with 32” tires.) I thought it handled better initially but now, 2 months later, the Jeep pitches and rocks so badly that if I hit a bump while going around a curve it is all over the place and feels out of control. I can push on it with just normal arm strength from the side and it rocks at least an inch back and forth before settling on the 3rd or 4th rock. I haven’t pulled the boots down to check for leaks but considering how crappy the welds looked on the front two with stems it wouldn’t surprise me if they failed. I almost did not install them because of it but hindsight… Rancho warranty says to return to point of purchase but since it is past the 30 days Amazon will not accept the return. Driv (formerly Monroe or Tenneco), will not honor it anyway because Amazon is not an authorized seller so now I have $400 worth of scrap metal and am out the installation and alignment costs as well. Spend the few extra dollars and get something reliable. I’ll be ordering Bilsteins and trashing these. As for the steering stabilizer so can’t really say, but the steering is jerky now and wasn’t before, so it is getting pulled off also.

Great shocks so far, obviously no fox racing or falcon shocks but the price should make that pretty obvious. Huge improvement in ride quality over factory, both on and off road. Installed on my 2012 jeep jku with a teraflex 1.5" lift.

I definitely wasn't under any impression that these were used. I opened the box and they're both open and one was open on both sides. USED....Not to mention it was supposed to be here on Friday and was later emailed to be delivered Monday. Someone isn't holding their part of the deal.

Excellent shock for the Jeep JKU. Really smooths out the ride and absorbs bumps much better than the OEM shocks. Highly recommended.
