Perfect for creating a vintage, stained, and aged effect on scrapbook pages, cards, Altered books, and paper crafting projects. Tim selected the colors and developed the ink to produce realistic weathered look onto paper, photos, and decorative fibers. All the colorful distress inks afford added versatility when photo tinting and color layering with the original award winning tones. I used this with two other blues to make a sympathy card. I drop water on it to get droplets. It was mainly this color I used a purple to stamp on top of it. I really liked how it turned out. This color will be so nice to use in sky backgrounds also. I love all the Ranger Distress inks that I have. They make awesome background on stamps. You can emboss with it too since it stays wet longer. If you like the watercolor look you won't go wrong with any of these inks. They blend beautifully also

THE INKS THEMSELVES ARE GREAT BUT THIS SAPPHIRE I RECEIVED --THINKING WOULD B LIKE A LOVELY ULTRAMARINE but LOOKS BLUE ONLY ON WHITE BACKGROUND AND I NEED FOR WOOD---TURNS OUT CHARCOAL-LIKE ON WOODS I USE;PINES,ETC. BUT LOOKS OKAY NOT BRILLIANT ON WHITE BACKGROUND SO UP FROM 1 TO 3....COLOR DIDNT WORK FOR ME

This is great distress ink. I watch card & scrapbook video. There is very good video to watch onhow to use this ink. This is very good to use for stamping, embossing & distress look. Use a waterbrush to add color. There is a lot of different ways to use this ink. Very good quality ink. If one has not tried it, giveit a try

I love distress inks and have finally over time acquired them all. They blend beautifully and can be used as water colors as well as stamping. I would call Chipped Sapphire kind of a bright navy.
