The first one I ordered was really nice, I have the spalted maple uke's -It was deep sounding and carried great tone -The other was less pretty, a bit lighter and didn't carry as much tone. Also somehow the nylon felt more old on it - which is weird. IT didn't feel like the same strings that came with the first one.Its considerably less in sound quality and tone. Unfortunate. I dont know if I got lucky with the first one or unlucky with the second one. I don't think i'll be buying a third though.

This is absolutely such a perfect first budget ukulele. You have everything you need to get started. Holds its tune. Good string and replacement strings aswell. It is important for me as a ukulele player to recommend good ukulele because so often people get ones that won't hold tune. The neck is big and the action is good. The strings are close to the neck so it makes it easier to learn so you don't have to press down such a long distance. This really is solid and you get a lot for how much it is!

overall good quality for its price range .But this instrument has a laminated top NOT solid wood as advertised. However a really nice padded gig bag and shoulder strap

This is a pretty ukulele and would work great for a beginner or someone who wanted to try out a tenor size. It is very comfortable to play, with no sharp frets or rough surfaces. The finish is smooth and even, something that can be a problem with ukuleles in this price range. The leaf decoration on the sound hole is distinctive and very pretty. This ukulele also stays in tune very well, even after sitting out on a stand in my house. Both my husband, with larger hands, and myself with smaller hands find this ukulele very comfortable to play. The ukulele has a built-in tuner which works well, and comes with a clip-on tuner as well, with batteries for both. The pickup is a bit unreliable, but this ukulele also sounds good unplugged.Accessories: strap, booklet, polishing cloth, clip-on tuner and batteries for tuner and ukulele, extra strings, 3 picks, gig bagPros: price, electric tuner, accessories, beautiful sound hole decoration, finish and wood grain, strap buttons already installedCons: upgraded tuning pegs and strings and an improved pickup would have made me give this ukulele an extra star
