Carb works great..had to trim a stop pin on the choke, was interfering with the linkage..but other than that was a direct replacement..

I used on a Cub Cadet XT1 with Kohler KT725 22HP that was having power issues I thought might be related to the carb, but apparently not. It installs relatively easy, but you do have to take some parts off of your existing carb to use for this, the throttle linkage and spring aren't included with the new carb. After install, it started, but ran rough and kicked out black smoke, so I cleaned the original and put it back on. I'm assuming this could be adjusted, but didn't want to go through the trouble as I'm not a mechanic. I have done similar carb replacement on my snow-blower though, and that one worked fine, so not sure the issue with this.

This goes on easy and is a decent replacement, didn't require any adjustment. However, the gasket for the air intake is not the same as the one from the stock carburator. Also, it doesn't come with the reducer insert for the throttle to hook to the flap which was contained on the oem carb. Small rod where choke connects can get caught and choke can be stuck shut..

Bought for my Craftsman gt6000 with a 26 hp Kohler v-twin engine. Part came in early, and was what I ordered. The only problem I had, was the front gasket was not the correct gasket for this carb. Luckily I had the right one as I bought one before I knew my old carb was shot. Other than that, fit perfect and did NOT have change the solenoid wire.

MY OLD CARB WSS SO FULL OF GUM, GUNK AND RUST I DIDN'T WANT TO USE IT. I COULDN'T FIND AN EXACT MATCH FOR MY MOWER SO, AFTER HOURS OF RESEARCHING MODELS AND PART NUMBERS, I CHOOSE THIS ONE AND IT IS A PERFECT MATCH. I'M NO SMALL ENGINE EXPERT AND THE PROBLEMS I ENCOUNTERED WERE 1) THE CHOKE VALVE (BUTTERLY) WOULD NOT CLOSE COMPLETELY AND 2) TWICE AFTER USE IT WOULDN'T START AND I FOUND GAS SITTING IN THE INTAKE CHAMBER. THE CHOKE PROBLEM WAS FIXED BY REALIGNING THE CARB WHEN TORQUING. JURYBIS STILL OUT ON THE FUEL LEAK BUT WHEN I TOOK IT APART I NOTICED THE FUEL BOWL WAS BARELY TIGHTENED DOWN. I ALSO FOUND CRUD IN THE CARB BOWL THAT HAD TO COME FROM THE FUEL PUMP BECAUSE I FLUSHED THE GAS TANK AND REPLACED THE FUEL FILTER AND ALL GAS LINES WHEN I INSTALLED THE CARB. THIS REVIEW MAY NOT BE VERY HELPFUL BUT I THINK THE CARB IS FINE IF YOU MESS UP THE LITTLE THINGS ALONG THE WAY.
