I need the HD 12-16 long arm. I was sent a long arm stapler (pictured) that is a different model. It will not work for my intended purposes. I have had no luck getting a refund or exchange...so I am out $55...not happy.

The Rapid uses only rapid staples. We tried swingline and they didn't fit,

Re: Rapid Heavy Duty All Steel Long-arm 12" Anti-jam Stapler, 40 Sheet Capacity. The stapler worked fine on a 23 page booklet which used presentation weight copy paper. I did buy the Rapid brand staples for it rather than to trust another brand would work. The rubber pads indicated in the description were not in the box however and I have contacted the company to have them shipped to me. A diagram on the box outlining how to load the staples would have been helpful.

I had to order special staples in an odd-ball size (the ones recommended by the paperwork that came with the stapler) but it still just would not work. I tried stapling a 14 page booklet (plain photocopier paper; less than half the number of pages the product claims to handle) but the staples bend in the wrong way without penetrating all the way through. I tried slow and even pressure, harder but even pressure and "rapid" pressure, but the result was the same. I even tried turning the staples around, thinking it was just a faulty row since the non-penetrating side was consistent, but that did not work either. I guess I'll have to look elsewhere for a booklet stapler.
