Rawlings makes great baseball products.I miss the days of aluminum bats lasting years (if not decades), but the new composite material are softer and these bats won’t nearly as long. The Good: Bat meets USA Baseball regulations and son loves it. He hits the ball fairly well and not a power hitter, but a contact hitter for grounders and line drives. The gray keeps the scratches less visible and grip on handle suits him well when wearing Rawlings batting gloves. The Bad: The bat doesn’t have that extra “oompf” we’re looking for. This bat is his grounder bat when he needs to make a nice hard line drive between the 1st and 2nd basemen. The power isn’t here with this bat, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing. My son uses another bat when he’s looking for all out power when he makes contact.Overall: Bat is another tool in the toolbox. We have bats for grounders, light bats for fast pitchers, heavy bats for power, and even batting cages bats. It serves its purpose, but not a top tier bat.

This bat is very nice, feels great, looks great. I got the drop 10 for my son for a Christmas gift. So he won’t be able to use it yet and I can’t comment on its ability til spring ball comes around again. But just by holding it myself and swinging it, it feels great. I’m not going to be surprised at all if Rawlings has nailed it with their first ever premier of a USA little league bat.

At $99 its a good deal. Bat feels crazy heavy, and the shorter barrel sweet spot with aggressive taper to hilt is a first for me. Comparing to a 32/27 mizuno hotmetal or 34/31 voodoo, this still feels heavier. Top loaded vs balanced i presume. Swing radius is snappy.Returned unused w/o unwrapping. Maybe thats why they moved to the clout series…
