I used this kit to do the brakes on my 2001 Toyota 4runner. It looked like a great kit but in retrospect even with 223K on the odometer, I probably could have gotten away with not buying it at all.The pins were not necessary, since they are all shorter than the pins on the drums. It was missing a spring cap so I had to reuse one off the drum that was already installed, and the large yellow springs were coiled to the point that it was just too close to the ratcheting wheel mechanism on the tensioner bar to function properly. It's a nice kit, but ultimately my time and money would have been better served using another kit or just reusing the parts already installed.I ended up only using a small portion of the kit, and most will rattle in my toolbox as extra parts that won't be needed.

Installed these on my 4runner and great price but had to reuse the old pins. This kit has two different pin lengths and both are smaller than OEM pins which makes installing a pain if you don't use old ones. Do NOT throw away the old pins... Makes it much easier to use them. Otherwise good kit.

I was looking for the "c" snap rings which get destroyed on removal for a rear brake shoe job on my 4Runner. This kit was so inexpensive it was a no brainer to replace all the original brake drum hardware and springs when I replaced the rear shoes. It turned out the Beck-Arnley shoes I purchased on Amazon had the "c" rings anywayThe kit was a perfect fit and the result is a completely serviced rear brake system. In the end I have a completely re-built set of rear brakes for less than $50.00.Thanks Amazon.
