I bought a new Raymarine wind vane 2yrs ago. I removed the 17yr old still working wind vane and installed the new one. The new one failed within a year. I had to put the 17yr old one back up at the top of the mast. I purchased this one as a spare. I've had several of my newer Raymarine devices fail within a few years of light use.
