Ignore all other reviews of this! This does not fit a Slash 4x4, Hoss 4x4, or newer Stampede 4x4. I tried. The shaft is too long, and the alloy casing is also too long as the distance between the bearing and where it enters the rear differential is too large. There are also no seals for the output shafts so it will always leak. Fix these issues and it would be great, but it is useless as-is.

I added grease to the planetary gears but otherwise this should work great. Teeth have good definition and it moves nice and smoothly, though I did notice that the included bearing doesn't fit the tightest on the main gear body as I'd have liked to see.

This is not for a traxxas stampede 4x4. Will not work. The advertising in this ad is false

This was an awesome upgrade for my Ruslter 4x4 1/10 scale RC car, steel gears is always the best way to go when doing upgrades you always want to mix aluminum with plastic stock items to get the best results. I immediately noticed a difference and I am so happy everything worked out, I love the red color it’s like a candy apple red.Overall this was very well machined and everything lined up perfectly, the teeth are sharp and work great with the pinion. I will highly recommend this one to my RC buddies, the price is super fair and well worth it. You can’t find these at your local hobby shop so make sure to grab! Thank you!
