My radio is wired in another room to SiriusXM, so I bought this to have a speaker in my office where I could control the volume in my office. I bought this and it worked. However, the volume control wasn't very accurate - only the last 10% of the adjustment produced an audible signal. But it did what I needed it to do which was to play the radio softly in my office. There was a 30 return or replace warranty. The thing lasted 35 days. Oh well, seeing as how it cost less than 20 bucks I ordered another one. We'll see if another one lasts any longer. If I could have found another unit like this one - plug and play, no power needed, I would have bought it. Maybe you guys know of another one similar to this? Thanks.

Works well with my subwoofer to control the volume remotely without reaching around to the back of the couch. Operation is silent, no clicks or pops. Build quality is good with a metal case and sturdy RCA jacks. Volume control is smooth and uniform. Does the job for pennies. Why spend more??

I have my KRK Rokit Gen 3's and S8 connected to a Logitech Bluetooth receiver, with this sitting in between explicitly for my BT record player. Being able to swap the speakers from my TV to record player to phone and anything in between was awesome, but the record player would blast audio even at the lowest point on the pot. Adding this between the receiver and sub allowed me to set a "safe" volume for the record player and simply adjust the master volume on the other sending devices without issue. I love that it doesn't require a power source, sits nicely on top of the sub with the Logitech receiver sitting on it, and performs exactly as advertised.

Impressed. This little device works as intended first and foremost. I was very happy to find that the case is made of aluminum and not plastic so it sits in place without moving around when turning the volume knob. The volume knob has nice resistance/feel to it. Works perfectly to control the volume on my powered speakers that are far out of reach in a secondary desktop system. Highly recommended.

I'm using this device with my Fosi amp. I noticed the Bluetooth connected sound level is MUCH lower than that of the RCA input from my Yamaha receiver (FM, CD, Phono). If I switch from Bluetooth to the RCA connection from my receiver without first adjusting the volume knob on the Fosi amp, the sound level can be excessive and risks damaging my speakers. Using this device, I can equalize the input strengths and avoid this issue. The RCA connections are simple, and the unit sits nicely on top of the Fosi amp thanks to the no-slide feet on the bottom. For around $20 bucks, it is a great value.

I bought this particular model as the style kind of matches the MaestroDMX lighting controller it sits next to in a rack of gear. It's used at live band gigs to attenuate the signal going into the MaestroDMX on the fly (instead of having to open up a user interface display to adjust levels).

This little gem is perfect. And it's just passive so it's not taking up another power outlet. Sounds great. This solved a streaming annoyance I was having with OBS. I use an HDMI capture adapter but if my volume is low on windows, the volume in OBS will also be low on the stream. Now I can leave my gaming PC on 100% windows volume, OBS gets that from the HDMI output, then my speakers can be controlled with this. I use active bookshelf speakers for my PC so hookup was easy. I do 3.5mm to RCA out from my monitor (HDMI passthrough) to this device, and then RCA to RCA for my speakers.I do love being able to adjust my volume from my keyboard but, so be it. I just don't like voiceemeter.

I have a tube stereo from the early 60's. Line out from modern stereo components puts out too much power for it.I put this in line after my component switcher and before my VU meters and the old stereo. that way I can drop the volume as needed from each component as needed. I went from 1/5 of my volume control to about half, and I could set it for full volume control.great product, very small, and no batteries needed. doesn't seem to change any aspect of the sound except for volume.

Small so it moves around, but solves a problem, using a second amp set up.

It does what I want so I like it.I like this because it simply has two pots ganged together, no electronics so need for a battery or PS. There are no electronics so how fast the volume drops off from the high end will depend heavily on your equipment load. I believe the pots are 30k so the 10k load of my equipment causes a pretty fast drop off. The equipment that this is for I believe is 100k, the volume didn't seem to fall off as fast, it actually surprised me. I think with a high impedance load (1 meg or higher) this volume control might actually be a linear pot. I don't have it anymore so it would be difficult to check it out.
