Got a small pull tab and use this to quick release an scba mask for firefighting to keep the mask from dragging and getting banged around. Works great and worth it.

This item is terrible. It’s loose, hard to close and seems like it will fall apart anytime. I would suggest not purchasing. I will not be using it for anything. Also unable to return.

Good quality and the release works smoothly by pulling the ring. Using this to make up a rescue line release for use when kayaking - where you need to be able to quickly release a kayak that you are towing.

hello,this stainless steel snap shackle works well. it is well built and since it is stainless, should not rust when left out in the elements . so far, so good. a great product, delivery, and price.

They look and feel fine but I will never trust them in a critical load sailing application. I will use them on a small boat on an inland lake only. They have no maker marks. There is no published load rating. There is no way a $5 shackle can be of the quality of a similar $50 name-brand shackle, like a Winchard. Under load they _may_ turn out to be more 'decorative' than strong.
