It would work some of the time while others it would make a clicking noise and slowly rotate. you can turn by hand then it would start working again poor, poor, poor. I was going to return the servo but amazon forces me to drive 30mins to a ups store in a different town to send it back not worth the time spent. The servo does seem built solidly though if they could work out that one glitch it would be 5 stars but until then skip this servo.

I decided to give this servo a shot to see if it was a viable alternative to the JX 4409.It is a Tiankong servo (they also produce an all metal case low profile servo). They recently quietly modified that servo and slightly reduced the price (not as good as it was previously). I suspect, based on gauge of wire on this servo, that they commonized the design and only swapped the case.I hooked mine up to a Radiolink setup running off a 6V receiver pack. On power up and connection it immediately began making a clicking noise and slowly rotating. I have seen this behavior on other low end servos when the voltage gets too low I tried a different servo and had no issues so these servos are likely very sensitive to voltage (something that could be an issue for some). After that, steering behavior was erratic - sometimes it would move, sometimes not. Speed was average (about the same/slightly faster than a 4409).I ended up returning it - just cannot trust it. I think Tiankong sold/produced OK servos up until 2022 but have cost reduced them a bit too much.

Not working properly and making a clicking noise. Maybe just a bad unit.

So works great for a replacement for Ecx Barrage steering servo, the original started slipping and was very weak. This one is way more responsive and stronger, and has metal gears , and the size is perfect for the Barrage since its limited space, replaced it with no modification i only needed an extender fir the connection leads which i had a few and are usually available at your hobby rc store...I would of loved a metal steering horn as well. I'd love to check out their other products as well.
