I really like to have this periodic table on my desk. Some of the sample placements aren't very precise and ended up in other element boxes. But, overall, I'm happy with it and like the physical representation for many of the elements right in front of me.

Ok, so I've got a little rant on this one.I SO WANTED to love this ingenious display of elements, but it just disappoints.While the small size of the elements is not a problem, the teeny weenie size of the print is SOOOOOO small that it becomes a strain to refer to it, rather than the joy that I expected it would be...even with a 3x magnifying glass.Instead of drawing in my attention and curiosity, it's now mostly a paperweight.It would be better if it came with a 5x or 10x magnifier.

When a vendor lavishes hundreds of words and five bullet points to extoll the virtues of their product but can’t spare one character or photo to tell you how big it is, get suspicious! This is a nice, but small (6” wide), acrylic-encased element set. However, for the price I think the size is reasonable — though I felt obligated to dock a star due to the vendor not being straightforward about the size. The acrylic is perfectly clear with no scratches or bubbles, and the specimens (tiny as they are) are all in good shape. The only ones that looked a little odd were the gasses, which looked like foam or froth. While this isn’t big enough for larger classroom use, it’s a nice little periodic table display for home schooling, individual student use, or desktop display. While it’s not big, I don’t think you can really expect more at this price point. You get your money’s worth, and if the small size is suitable for your needs I recommend this.

I recently purchased this Real Chemical Element Periodic Table, and I'm thrilled with it! As a huge science enthusiast, the idea of having my own collection of elements was too good to pass up. It reminds me of a certain software mogul's wall-sized version, which is pretty cool (although he's a eugenicist scumbag).While it understandably lacks radioactive elements like Plutonium, Radium, or Einsteinium, this set includes real samples of almost all the other elements on the Periodic Table. It's like a nostalgic trip back to high school chemistry class!The build quality is impressive. It’s crafted from solid acrylic, appearing as two halves that encase the central piece holding the elements. It's especially eye-catching with some backlighting.For anyone who loves science – whether you're buying for yourself or as a gift – I wholeheartedly recommend this product. It’s not just educational; it's a fascinating display piece too!

I'm a retired engineer and love nerdy stuff like this. I thought it would also be great for my daughter in high school to help her learn the periodic table. But in reality it's just too small to be very useful for me. It's a little over 6" wide and about 4.5" tall. And at that size the print ends up being very small. The size is listed in the description, so I didn't take a star off of the review but it's something to be aware of. Maybe for someone younger with better up close vision that's not a concern, and it would make a nice gift for the chemistry student in your life (it comes in a nice box). But if small print is an issue for you in general, then this might not be the one.

My students and I love looking at this over and over again. The only complaint I have is that mercury was missing on the one I received.
