I used to replaced this raggedy fake fur collar on an otherwise perfectly nice North Face jacket. Not only does it make the jacket look fantastic but the wind breaking warmth is phenomenal.

This is a lovely fur edging for my winter coat. There are loops running along each side, as well as buttons that can be sewn onto your coat hood.The faux fur trip that came with my coat was a row of buttons and a row of snaps, but it was easy to stitch on a row of buttons alongside.This isn't the nicest fur I've ever seen (the white coloring is very...straight). However, for the price I'm very happy with it, and it's a huge upgrade from the faux fur. It is also quite warm when the wind and snow are blowing.I would buy this again. :-)

I was actually surprised this fur was a good quality. Just four stars because the picture is a bit misleading. It is not that thick, but it is a much better quality than the fur that came on on hood originally. So i am happy with it. Also, they shorted me two buttons..

This is definitely a very plush long fur ruff. The quality seems very good. Note that this fur ruff has a nice lining on it with elastic loops on the edges that makes it even thicker than just the fur alone would. In my case this meant the hood drapes down more than it did before as this fur was significantly longer and folded over the edge rather than sewn in as the old one was. I rather like this effect and is something that can be adjusted for.The lining was nicely sewn on along with elastic loops for attaching it to the coat with buttons. Buttons were included which is nice. The ones I received are black to match the lining material with two holes. It brought life to a coat that I recently inherited that had extensive damage just to the fur.If the coat that you are attaching this to did not already have buttons you will have to attach some or use another method. I chose to use the included ones that came with it and they seem to be just fine. I just ended up using a needle and thread and hand sewing them on by eyeballing the spacing. This seems to work surprisingly well and allows for replacing or removing the fur easily for laundering the garment and extending the life of the fur/coat even more.
