This is a definite improvement over the last Ice maker we tried. It is easy to use and makes ice quickly. The ice isn't too hard, good for munching on. It also isn't so soft that it melts quickly. The ice is bullet shaped. The important thing about this ice maker is that it actually keeps the ice it makes frozen.

This thing ROCKS!First, it starts putting out the first cubes literally within 5 minutes or less! I was expecting it to take 30+ minutes for the first ones to come out, but was very surprised to hear them tumbling out within a couple minutes. The water tank holds plenty of water, more than enough to get a full bucket of ice, so there is no need of having to constantly refill the reservoir in order to get a full bucket.I did notice that the first few batches after it is turned on tend to be smaller than the rest later on in the cycle. That is not a deal breaker at all, and I assume it is simply just the nature of how it works and how quickly it cools the water. This is not a big enough issue for me to take even half of a star away, but something some people might like to know when they buy it.Overall though, we LOVE this little ice machine, and not having to put trays in the freeze has saved us a TON of space!

The Intertek countertop ice machine has been a game-changer. It cranks out ice pretty fast and keeps up well—even during small get-togethers. Compact enough for the counter but powerful enough to keep drinks cold without missing a beat. Super simple to use, and the ice quality is surprisingly solid. Perfect fit for a home bar setup or even just everyday kitchen use. Highly recommend if you're tired of running out of ice at the wrong time.

The countertop ice maker I received works very well it makes the first batch MUCH faster than a home freezer like 5-10 minutes vs about 2hr in my freezer. I was buying ice a lot because I like the easier to chew commercial ice and this does very similar ice so I use it every day. Also small enough you could take it on road trips. That said the reviewed product is nothing like the one they are offering for sale now, review item was about 1 foot tall and was priced at $110. Very confusing.

This countertop ice machine is smaller than most of the same and has a handle included. There are no ice size options. The ice produced is large. The first couple of loads were thin. The remainder of the ice has been the correct large size. This ice machine works very fast and produces enough ice that I can’t keep up with dumping it in my freezer ice bin. I have had 4 countertop ice machines. This is the fastest ice producer by far. Highly recommended if the choice of large or small ice isn’t a factor.

The ice maker is easy to setup and fits on the counter perfect. The ice is a great size shape and consistency. The one negative is the loud nooses it makes. It sounds like someone knocking on the door.

If you don't have an ice maker in your refrigerator, then this countertop unit may be what you need to cool down the occasional drink. It has a large capacity tank for water and it does make interesting shaped ice in a short amount of time -- at least enough to cool down a glass of tea or pop. For any greater need (like a small party), you will need freezer space and a bin to transfer the ice from the machine to storage. The bin in the ice maker has a small capacity and the unit isn't a freezer, so the ice will eventually melt (and when it drops below sensor level, it will make more ice to fill the bin). The machine is well made though, compact enough to fit on most counters, and easily moved with the attached handle.

I’m on the fence about this ice maker. On 1-hand, its convenient to have an Ice Maker that can make ice quickly and reliably. But on the other, I think there is a more efficient way to do it.Here are my observations. You fill the tank (the bottom of the cooler area, also where the ice melts into) with water. There is a pump that brings the water to the top tray. Once the top try is filled, the condenser turns on and there is a small number of “rods” that get really cold and ice begins to form around them in a cylinder shape. After about a min or two, the ice cube has “grown” to a reasonable size and then the machine dumps the completed ice into an upper holding basket. This process repeats until the basket is full.My main CON for this is the amount of insulation. The wall are so thin and the lid is just a flap of plastic. This causes tons of heat to enter and is constantly melting the ice; thus the machine cycles on/off all the time just to keep it full. The machine uses a few hundred Watts of power while running so it consumes a lot of power compared to a freezer style ice maker.Overall, its nice to have. I think if they could improve the insulation properties more, then it would be a better product.
