Very nice burner and log set.I didn't receive sand, indicated as included. Not a huge deal. But it was a stopper. Had to run to the store for something that was supposed to be included. When paying for a premium product I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to receive all the components, especially when listed as included in the description.

We had been putting off getting one of these but what really made it happen was when we came home from being away for a few days to yet another Northern California power outage and the house was 45 degrees and it took a good 48 hours for the furnace to catch up. So I ordered this set, even though I did not have a gas line into my fireplace.Luckily, there was a gas line in the crawl space under the fireplace that a plumber was easily able to tap into. Added the SPK-26 pilot light and we had the whole thing set up in no time. The SPK-26 makes it easy to adjust the fire height because at full on it really puts out a lot of heat. This split oak set was more expensive but really looks nice and we are very satisfied.

If you buy these logs, please be sure you have seen them in person and you love them. I bought a set on Amazon and did not find they looked high quality and real. The logs from Rasmussen are much better quality and look more real in my opinion. I sent these back through the Amazon return process and had to pay $130 for the return. Would not recommend purchasing these online or through Amazon

These logs look absolutely great, everyone complimented us on them when first setup. But after a couple of months with occasional use the logs have started shattering. Just sitting there reading a book and you will hear a pop and pieces will fly out on the hearth as in the photo. Very low construction quality

I had this professionally installed - it was a replacement, a quick service job so not all that expensive. The combination of the "natural" looking fireplace logs and the G45 burner are beautiful. Following the diagram, the logs are placed perfectly to allow flames dance through the logs, plus the embers glow like a real wood fireplace. The materials, burner unit and metal grate are quality and appear to be durable (heavy gauge) - should last a long time. I am very pleased with this set and if I had another fireplace, would purchase again.

Fairly easy set up and very realistic looking logs. Looks great and I’m already glad I can instantly have a fire without having to chop wood and haul it in from outside. Only to have to clean out the fireplace later. Should of bought these years ago. I also like that there is some flexibility in arranging the logs. Very satisfied with purchase and price.

We have a wood burning fireplace that already had a gas igniter installed. I didn't want to hassle anymore with purchasing and storing firewood, plus the cleanup. The wife and I decided to go with a gas log set. We went to the local flame and patio shop and saw this unit on display and liked it. I found the same set on Amazon and it was $100 lower than the the local shop and went ahead and placed an order. I received my order inside a week and it arrived in two sturdy boxes. The product was well packed and protected. I was able to get this set up in about 30 minutes, probably because my gas line was already installed. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. My fire looks just like the Peterson Real Frye picture. We are very pleased with this and we hope it will give us years of pleasure.
