The authenticity of this topaz i never questioned, but there are several things that I am not really excited about, 1.The stone was very light in color and had only a faint light yellow hue. At first glance it appeared to be a quartz crystal. 2.The gem was very irregularly shaped which makes it difficult for me to prepare it for jewelry. 3.The stone had many fractures which resulted in the stone breaking apart when I was trying to shape it. Since I am just a beginning rock tumbler with little experience my estimations may be questionable; but if I had it to do over, I would not make this purchase. Thank You

Topaz received was garbage and should have been thrown out not sold for $30.00. Hundr3ds of intrusions. I would suggest to spend you money elsewhere. Not anything like in the picture.
