It works great. Definitely a good purchase. Install was easy except my bolts/nuts were rusted which caused me trouble but that doesn’t apply to everyone. My only gripe is the price. It seems like good quality and it does solve my getting into the truck bed issue but it still just seems like 200-250 would be more of a reasonable price for this. Overall it’s good and I would recommend it and I would buy it again.

The original bolts on my truck are 9/16 in and the holes on this are not even big enough for 1/2 in bolts. I mounted with smaller bolts and even then the step does not fit my truck. While folded up, the step hits the bottom of the bumper. While extended, the arm hits the back of the bumper. Also, while folded up the step does not extend far enough for me to push down on it with my foot to extend it, even with the attached extender and the step attached as far out as possible.

Have you noticed that your pickup bed seems to get higher and more inaccessible with each year's passage? This step divides that height, through the addition of one convenient (extending and retracting) step. Yes, it's a little pricey, but I've spent far more on far less worthy acquisitions. It's easily assembled and requires just the loosening of two bolts and their retightening to install onto your pickup. You'll require access to torque wrenches (foot-pounds and inch-pounds) to assemble and secure it correctly--lest it'll feel unstable; but (properly torqued), it's rock-solid. I'm glad that I bought it.

I bought this for my 09 1 ton Chevy diesel pickup. The bed is a long ways up for a 63 yr old dude. The bedstep was an easy install and everything fit with no modifications. As always, I anticipated a battle and having to tweek here and there, but encountered no problems. It's super easy to deploy, just reach down and push. Returning to storage is easier yet, just push it up with your foot and you're done. A bit espensive but the quality made it worth the investment.

I received this and had it bolted on 10 minutes later. Very easy installation and it fits like a glove. It is also the perfect length to make stepping up very easy (I'm 50 with a bad back and shoulder, so climbing in was difficult without the step). The entire mount is made of heavy duty powdercoated aluminum, but the step part is made of plastic. This concerned me at first but now that I have used it a few times, it doesn't seem to have any trouble holding me (210 lbs.). Very, very slick how it folds right up tight to the bottom of the bumper and at the perfect angle so that it is tucked up out of the way. Works excellent with tailgate open or closed. Well worth the money!!!
